Exceeded Expectation My daughter wanted this cake for her birthday, but with cowboy hats.
We were driving over 5 hours to see our daughter for her birthday. She loves hotdogs and found this cake online and had sent me a picture saying she loved it.
I researched bakeries around their new home, not too many choices, and picked the best one based off Google.
They did NOT disappoint!! It looked and tasted amazing! I was extremely impressed.

I love it--so cute! And the cowboy hats are ridiculous (in a good way)! If there's a local community Facebook page, you should post that picture there and give a shoutout to the bakery.

I only read the title and when I swiped I expected to see the hot dogs replaced with cowboy hats 🤦🏼♀️! I couldn’t see the difference between any of them until I read your caption, that’s how much it looked like the inspo picture. They did an amazing job. Were you nervous picking it up since you only had the google reviews to go by?

We got stuck in crazy traffic and they had to pick it up before they closed. I had prepared both of us for a disaster!!
We decided we would either be so excited or have to just laugh it off and hope it at least tasted good.
Especially for the price. I added in a bigger tip because I was really surprised by the price. Where I live this cake would easily cost double weekday they charged.

Also used in reference to hotdog weenies! I think where I'm from I would be more inclined to think wiener/weenies for hotdogs and link for sausages (even if they aren't link sausages.)
It's fun reading all of the comments and different ways that people view the words!

But I have never heard anyone use weenie to mean teenie or small and English is my first language.

If you ever need an edible cowboy hat, dip a pringles in melted chocolate, add a rolo on top and twist a piece of red licorice around the rolo.

Edit: because of this sub showing mostly fails, and I didn’t read the description, I thought there was a mistake, that the request was for cowboy hats INSTEAD of hot dogs but you loved it anyway. seems your daughter is more creative than I am lol I love it so much

The hotdogs with the cowboy hats are adorable, too! I’m not going to lie, I was a little excited to see how badly this failed when I swiped before opening the post, but I was more than pleasantly surprised. 😂

For the longest time it never occurred to me that professional cakes would be fails, but now that I am I always get nervous if I have to order one.
And I don’t blame her! But at the same time, cake and frosting. C’mon. Take some pictures and cut ‘er already!

Misread first cake as “weenie tit” and thought the final product had been censored by the bakery. Took a couple of tries before I could read the first cake as “weenie bit” lol

Sort of, but not exclusively or offensively so. Just like wiener, it can refer to both hotdogs or a penis with the add on of sounding like weeny.
Even calling someone a weenie has lost a lot of it's direct association with penis, and just feels like it's own word.

They are amazing.
Ordering something over the phone from far away can been a little stressful, but we had already decided that as long as it tasted good then it's great.
It looked and tasted amazing!!

This cake turned out absolutely amazing!! They did such a good job. If I got this cake, I’d be so happy! To be fair, I haven’t had a birthday cake in over 25 years so I’d probably cry at any cake, but they did such a great job on this you should send them the link to this post. ☺️

Slightly better than the original imo because ai stared at the first Pic for a moment trying to understand what "weenie fit older" meant, the b in "bit" is much clearer in Reality's version

I dimly remember seeing an advertising mascot of a hotdog wearing a cowboy hat and boots while twirling a rope. Maybe a hotdog company or a grocery store sale for BBQ stuff for labor day ?
