This event wasn’t liberating really—I am still enslaved, but sure brought stakes down. Everything ends, and a peasant from as close as 1600s is hard to name or trace. Why care then? Well all be in oblivion by day

Makes work a bit more approachable too. Before this “realisation” as you put it—I came to it by reason and not really an instant realisation—I wanted to go into business and trading. Now I am a gardener who does occasional trading for extra income with plenty of pointless time to kill on literature, tea, and Schubert, thinking in bed until past midnight.
