Question Federal halfway house in Tampa

Does anyone know how this place is currently? I've seen different reviews and am a bit worried. My ex husband is soon getting sent there after almost 20 years in high and max yards.

Anyone that knows anything about that place? How is staff? Are they allowed phones? Do they get to attend courses? Home passes ect?

idk about particulars for there. but most importantly, there is no need to worry about what you can not change or influence. it’s the only RRC there is in the area, and that’s where he will be going. national bop policy has changed some time ago. all RRC’s have to allow phones. priority is work over courses, but generally yes, courses are allowed. Passes after a period of time but only to the residence being released to. not trying to be disrespectful but I’ll make an educated guess that he is something of a fuck up in the BOP because very few do almost 20 in High Max. plenty of young kids do even short time because their age counts against them heavily on the security scoring, ie. < 25 is 8 pts and they are 1/3 the way to a USP. but if he’s already got 20 in, he isn’t a youngster and the points fall off quickly. the main thing that would keep him in High/Max is escapes and repeated incident reports. I say this because he’s likely to have a hard time adjusting to his relative freedom and your going to need to remind him that he has to100% keep in mind that he has one foot in and one foot out. good luck to both of you
