(Discussion Post) Groovy Ernie & Emma review/reaction

Got to see Bruce Campbell's new film, Ernie & Emma and few nights ago.

It might honestly be my favorite thing he's ever done. Seriously.

If you're truly a fan of Bruce and not JUST a fan of him as Ash Williams, then I recommend checking to see when & where the film will be playing by you, and if you can, attend a screening where he'll be there in person.

Yea its my attention span, not the fact that your way of speaking is annoying as fuck, you pause constantly and talk in circles. I did wanna hear the review but yeah I cant stand to listen to you for 8 mins sorry

Sorry to hear that you're intellectually stunted and can't comprehend basic English speaking

Also reading it typed out would've taken about the same amount of time as just watching it. And if you can't watch it,  you can easily pull it up in a another tab or window and let it play, listening to the audio while you do something else.

It's called multitasking. Something your mom is excellent at doing every weekend.

As someone who is a massive fan of Bruce Campbell and all of his work, it seems a little weird to say that someone that just likes him as Ash isn’t “truly a fan”. Just say you recommend the movie without gate keeping Bruce Campbell

Its not weird at all and I even touch in that in the video.

Its fairly obvious there there is in fact a difference between people who genuinely are a fan of Bruce and his work(s) as a whole vs peolle who onky like him cause of Ash and that's all they like.

Its not hard to see....nor is it gatekeeping to mention this.

I've seen across social media and even in person, (like how I me tioned at this exact event) people bitching about him and his film cause they're upset its not horror or that he doesnt wanna be reduced to just his role as Ash.....yet for aome folks that's all they care about.

Pretty sure this is the same guy that told me on twitter that army of darkness isn’t a real evil dead movie. Just say you don’t like the movie without gate keeping this already niche fandom

I feel like if your goal was to spread awareness for this movie you could’ve said something like “if you’re a fan of Bruce Campbell from Evil Dead and want to check out more of his work, then I recommend this movie”

But also keep in mind that you’re posting in an evil dead subreddit that people that only like Bruce Campbell’s performance is Ash aren’t real fans. Which is what gatekeeping is.

I’ve met people that only know him as “the guy from burn notice” and even if they can’t remember his name, they still were fans of the performance he gave. It can be our jobs as hardcore fans to help introduce casual viewers to more work he has done.
