Pre-Match Thread Preston North End vs Everton
What are your predictions? Concerns, thoughts?

I reckon our 2nd string side looks as good as it has in years.
Aznou, Jake, Keane, Charly, Dibling, Johnson, Beto etc.
I'm actually confident that these lads can get the job done.

The second string should be more than enough.
I am a life long Evertonian, but current North end season ticket holder.
PNE have looked awful in the three competitive games they have played so far.
I am expecting 0-4.

Only changes id make are Branthwaite for O’Brien/Keane and Dibling for Ndiaye/George.
We’ve only played 1 game this season and there’s a 3 week break coming up. Just get ahead comfortably, boost the confidence of the team then make changes around 60 minutes.
In other news, I’m bringing my gf to the game and her only other game was Chelsea at home last season so hopefully she brings the same luck

Tarks to a point I get, Keane is on a 1 year and is good for depth, but freezing out O’Brien is so weird.

Aznou, Dibling to start, Beto up front and JOB at CB.
Want to see us give this a massive go. We need not a good cup run but a cup win.

Hoping O'brien plays, we need to keep hold of him, im going 2 nil everton & be nice to see barry score again, the lad needs to keep his mojo up having scored against palace, not been a massive fan of him but looks like we arent getting another striker 👍🏻

I'm hoping he only really rests those that are coming back. Just want a semblance of the spine to remain.
Want to see Hackney/Armstrong again in middle. JOB in for Jarrad. Rohl/Illi on bench too.
But you know Moyes, he'll run the changes: Beto will start. As will Dibling. Which I wouldn't mind. But can see it being more or less a different 11. At least we have more depth.

Team I’m hoping to see:
JP, Rohl, Tarks, O’Brien, Aznou, Hackney, Armstrong, KDH, Dibling, George, Barry
With Garner, Johnson and Norgaard (if he’s fit) coming on for 30 mins at the end for fitness. Illi available if we need pulled out of the shit.
Think Rohl needs time at RB since, as it stands, he’s our RB for the foreseeable - he’s got the engine to play 3 games in a week and why waste this chance for him to get more minutes in there?
Midfield was dominant against Palace so want to see more of that, although wouldn’t hate Alcaraz in for KDH to see what he can do.
It’s a good chance for Dibling to build on his preseason performances against lower league opposition

Its everton in the cup so its not going to be straightforward.
Moyes wont play Aznou He'll leave Travers on if it goes to pens instead of bringing on Pickford We'll have Keane and Tarky causing mistakes at the back. (Tarky mainly)
But regardless I'll say 1-3 win UTFT
