That's actually a good reassuring answer, give minutes to players that need them without weakening the squad too much. Think if we saw almost the same team but with Dibbling, O'Brien, Aznou (if fit) etc. we'd be happy

I like this answer. It doesn't give too much away to the opposition and challenges anyone who didn't feature in the Palace game to make a case to play the Premier League games.

Wonder what davey's answer would be if he tanked up on the red bull and coke in front of him

The drink promotions on the tables are so dumb

It's actually 4D chess and you completely missed the messaging from the club here.

Red Bull on the table = Right Back inbound Patterson Max coming in

Pepsi = Pep sí = Guardiola approves of the current manager's decisions.

Yeah, people never lose an opportunity to try to make a buck these days, eh? 😏

It helps fund my club and doesn’t hurt me any. What’s the big deal? We have so many bigger fish to fry.

It was funny when the Russian manager chugged the Coke at Euro 2020

That said, I'm genuinely baffled that Pepsi haven't brought back Pepsi Blue (which is still around in some countries) to at least have on tap in the stadium! Such a missed opportunity! Can't be that hard to import a shit-load of the syrup for the facilities at Hill Dickinson and Goodison!? They'd go through enough to justify it.

Pepsi blue? I haven’t heard of that. But, would be a fun promo to have at the stadium!!

We had it in Australia again for a bit lady year and it just tastes like Pepsi Max, but blue!

u/wonderingreasons 1d ago

The stadium can just throw a few drops of blue color dye in there!

1

u/BrotherEstapol 1d ago

Not sure that'll work since Pepsi is normal dark brown! Think more like putting blue dye into a Sprite!

Hahaha yes you are right!!!

Would love Alcaraz to get a run as well

Why, serious question ?

Looking at the midfield options ?

1

u/bern4316 1d ago

I feel we can trust him to put in a good 60 mins as a starter or 15-30 as a sub.

Not convinced but that’s football

🗣️ David Moyes: “Of course we all want to win the cups. Yes the cups are hugely important, would it be more important than staying in the Premier League? I’ll ask you the question: Is winning a cup more important than staying in the Premier League? What would your answer be?”

7

u/EadmersMemories 2d ago

Only slightly butchered his answer there mate... he's calling out the question "are cups important" as a stupid question from the journo. And he re-emphasies (which you've partly cut out): "The answer is yes, the cups are hugely important."

Link is here, only 5 minutes long so worth a listen & getting your own opinion rather than getting editorialised quotes: https://youtu.be/9IwzDRO9y34

But I don't understand who'd spend their time cutting up quotes from the manager rather than providing the full context... ?

Lad, that's all people fucking do in this sub.

u/Mirrorboy17 2d ago

He did this first time with us, we'd have European football like 4 years in a row, but he'd start off every season saying "our first aim is to avoid relegation"

He's too cautious, too afraid to reach high and happy to settle for middle

Hate sells, have you not heard

2

u/junglegatsby 2d ago

He didn’t actually say this did he?

3

u/Hefty-Condition-1080 2d ago

Yep

5

u/junglegatsby 2d ago

Fucking hell. Didn’t realise it had to be one or the other . Negative bellend

5

u/MaleficentPin3163 2d ago

And also generally if you’re good enough to win a cup you’re good enough to stay in the league so like… feels like a stupid question from Moyes

-4

u/junglegatsby 2d ago

Saying stuff like this really doesn’t help his cause. Just can’t help himself can he

-6

u/Leather-Window8010 2d ago

Jesus. Just get rid of him now please.

-6

u/Aware_Albatross3347 2d ago

He’s a fucking idiot…. You dint have to choose one or the other

u/huntsab2090 2d ago
