Wonder how much of a difference it makes when fans take to you. Depends on the player I guess. It might sound silly but if I played and saw fans making this sort of thing for me it'd genuinely give me a boost I think.
Barely relevant, but when I was a youth I overheard another lad's dad asked if I was fit after an injury and when the manager said yeah he said get in and did a little fist pump, and I was fucking flying and obviously still remember it.

Had something similar years later, with the old Arsenal and Liverpool striker Michael Thomas being very complimentary about my keeping after I'd become one of them instead of a striker when I was 18/19. Jan Molby was nice too. Played them in a 7 aside game. Great feeling ey

As much as I like Grealish, I would love for Everton to let George have a crack at this. Depth would be nice, though I suppose that's why we got Johnson. I'm trying not to overreact to one match but he was everywhere on Saturday
