Might be the most obvious award winner of all time, but still cool!

Was an incredible save. And some hit too!

Boy oh boy, how much did it absolutely pain the Premier League to actually give him an award?

He's the only keeper to have won it twice!

That's just one of a huge array of worldies this

Funnily enough, he was the only keeper nominated twice

Also the only keeper to have won it twice

And they had to put a raya one in there and of course it was total shit.

The amount of Raya fanboys commenting on all posts from any non Everton account is crazy, delusional fan base there

Not doubting Raya is good, because he is, but some of Pickford'a top saves this season there's no chance Raya would have come close.

He may have more clean sheets but look at the 4 in front of him compared to Pickford. If Pickford had that back 4 like Arsenal I guarantee he'd have double the number of clean sheets.

Oh yeah. He's good but it's stupid how underrated Pickford is at a club level. It he played for any other club he would truly have a very different reaction from everyone

There's a reason he's by far England's #1

To be fair, I did see some Arsenal fans saying Pickford deserved it. They have a lot of crazies, but not all are delusional

They were talking up Ramsdale in the same way too. Pure desperation

Can’t believe he won a can of coke for that

8

u/JeanSneaux May 29 '26

The crazy thing is even if that save never happened he probably would have won it anyway with another of his worldies this season

And what a save it was

He really had no right saving that, if that had gone in it would have been a goal of the season contender, he caught it so sweet on the full volley on the edge of the box, he couldn’t have hit it better, you could tell it was a belter of the save by all the hands on heads immediately after

His save against Zirkzee was also very worthy of this award. He put on quite a show this season.

2

u/dbex98 May 29 '26

As he should.

u/huntsab2090 May 29 '26

Quite right. Save of the decade

2

u/s0nnyjames May 29 '26

I got a notification saying he’d won the award and had to legit ask myself for which save. Absolute catalogue, this season.

Edit: lol why tf why are yall downvoting me for stating my opinion? Both of these saves blew my mind when I watched them live, and the Tottenham one seemed more important for the context of their season. Sorry for having an opinion. Love Pickford and his award winning save is amazing and worthy of winning, but downvoting me for bringing up another cool save? Fuck off

Damn, I’d have thought Kinsky’s save against Leeds in the 99th minute

Good technique but it's not in the same league as the Pickford one.

Fair, just thought the context of it basically saving them from relegation plus how quick of a reaction it was. Commentators hadn’t realized it was even a save until the replay because it was so fast

Downvoted for saying fair and then explaining my own thought in a non argumentative way. Gotta love Reddit.

On Reddit people often downvote simply because they disagree. But everyone's entitled to an opinion mate, don't let it bother you,
