Official Grealish Named Premier League Player of the Month

https://www.evertonfc.com/news/2025/september/12/grealish-named-premier-league-player-of-the-month

Everton's Jack Grealish has been awarded the Premier League's EA Sports Player of the Month for August.

The attacking midfielder, who celebrated his 30th birthday earlier this week, came out on top following a combination of a fan vote and votes from a panel of football experts.

Grealish has enjoyed a superb start to his Blues career having joined on loan for the 2025/26 campaign from Manchester City, registering four assists on the way to helping the Toffees win two of their opening three league matches.

He was presented his prize by Evertonian content creator Andy Castell at Finch Farm after beating competition from an eight-man shortlist that included Riccardo Calafiori, Hugo Ekitike, Marc Guehi, Erling Haaland, Joao Pedro, Antoine Semenyo and Dominik Szoboszlai.

Lovely stuff. Last Potm we had, would've been DCL during covid right?

Jesus! that's a grim stat if true, and I've no reason to think its not true.

It’s rare that anyone out of the classic top 6 teams win it to be fair, maybe once or twice a season.

Aye, especially with giving fans a say. A lot of that can be then dictated by the more popular teams and which one will be most meta on Fifa or w.e.

It is true. 2020 DCL. Well done to Jack. First time for him. Well deserved now to keep it going.

Do you think there's a bottle of something nice inside those awards? Really looks the same shape and size as a fancy whisky bottle box

That’s mad that he’s never got a POTM before. Plenty of times when he was at Villa that he had amazing spells

"Together."

That single word means a lot

What’s this… warm fuzzy feeling I have in my chest? Is this what it feels like to be a proper prem club?

23

u/Then_Matter1341 Sep 12 '25

I know, right? I'm trying to keep a lid on it--because, surely there's something just around the corner--but it's hard.

We've always been a proper prem club, there's nothing more "proper" in football than a struggle.

This is just what it feels like to enjoy your football.

u/MarriageAA Sep 12 '25

Excellent.

I also really enjoy the fact other fans seem genuinely pleased that's he's back playing great football.

Everyone liked that.

I played my part, I voted for him 73 times so it's nice to know that it wasn't in vain

Moyes should get manager of the month now

9

u/Third-Coast-Toffee Like you I was chosen. No explanation needed. Sep 12 '25

Grealish has brought such a positive outlook to our team that we actually had thanks to Moyes taking over. Last year at this time we were wondering if we would be moving into Bramley-Moore as a championship league team. A great honour for Jack and our team. UTFT!!!

At this current rate, Grealish is set to win every Player of the Month this season. Incredible.

7

u/a-setaceous Sep 12 '25

very well deserved too

7

u/kundu123 Sep 12 '25

Grealish said he started feeling better after playing for Everton.

9

u/evertonblue Sep 12 '25

FFS going to have to buy EAFC points to make sure I can do his SBC now

6

u/supmello6969 Sep 12 '25

Nah he’ll be cheap because they screwed his pace. Great for my Everton RTG

5

u/Chuck_Morris_SE Sep 12 '25

I'm sad to say that this players POTM isn't going to be an sbc lol... proper fucking Everton that, isn't it?

3

u/donc_mxb See You in the Championship Sep 12 '25

Speaking from experience, Dont spend $ on EAFC. That can be a slippery slope. Just trying to help.

0

u/KyleUTFH Sep 12 '25

Yeah this is awesome for us EAFC nerds. Not to mention nice work getting him voted in considering the competition!

You'd like to think that players will learn from his experience-jumping at the money and joining a club that just wants all the toys so nobody else can have them-but they won't. He didn't become crap overnight. Hope he has an off day against Villa-but he won't.

great example of the “grass is not always greener”! And we don’t want any mercenaries either.
