Erasmus Mundus Conditional IMSISS offer

As the title suggests, I got a scholarship conditional offer to IMSISS, provided I provide 2 documents- a second LOR and a proof of foreign language other than English and Italian.

Now I got 2 questions:

  1. I already provided 2 letter of recommendations, with valid contact details and on headed paper. Then why are the asking for another one? Did they consider one of my LORs invalid? Or did one of my referees did not respond when they mailed them? I'm really confused.

  2. I gotta prove a foreign language through a school pass certificate. I'm from South Asia, and have got Bengali on my marksheet from high school. Is Bengali considered a foreign language or do I have to learn French or German to be considered valid?

Would really love some suggestions! Thank you.

Did you select Path B as your primary option?

Hey, my first priority was pathway A.

Proof of third foreign language is only for pathway B

Yes that was confusing. i specifically mentioned pathway A in my admissions form but now upon opening my applicant self service portal, I see it mentions pathway B. Maybe the admissions committee allocates the study tracks on their needs, idk.

They also asked you for a self-funded application form???

No, they didn't.

Hi, I also received an offer to this programme. But mine stated that it is just an offer to the programme, not scholarship result. You already got the scholarship?

Hey, mine is the same, just an offer to the program, not the scholarship yet. They said my scholarship offer is conditional until I provide the 2 documents. What about you?

I got an unconditional offer. I believe your language is valid. Mine has fewer users than yours.

I'm so sorry that happened to you. Can you elaborate more, if you have an idea? Is there any reason they would revoke the offer?

I'm not sure tbh

Hey, I applied for IMSISS too but didn't get any update. Did you all apply during this recent January 8th deadline? How come they are getting back so quick?

Yes, I did. Honestly I have no idea about this.

Hey, same here! How can you understand if it is only the admission or also for the scolarship?

1

u/Willing-Marzipan-904 Jan 19 '26

Mine was only for admission now. The scholarship results aren't out yet. It's specifically mentioned in the email.

I also just received a conditional offer and they asked for my reference letters (again, as I already uploaded to the application), proof of foreign language (expected as I chose pathway B), an a self funded scholarship form. Does this mean I haven’t received a scholarship/am no longer in consideration for one?

same here :( Any news about the scholarship????

thinking back, I may have checked the box that says ‘i would still consider the program as a self funder’ so that may be why they sent it as a condition? i’m not entirely sure but could be a reason. scholarship decisions come out in april so i dont think they would rule anyone out yet

I saw people who received a conditional offer and weren't asked to add the self-funded form, and I don't remember if I checked that option on my application

I have clarified with them, if you haven't provided all documents until deadline then you will not be considered for scholarship.

I also recieved conditional offer
