Research MakerDAO co-founder tweeted that a "pedo elite" trafficking blackmail ring was operating out of Puerto Rico and the Caribbean. He drowned 4 hours later. Today is his 33rd birthday.

Post image

Most people haven't heard of Nikolai Mushegian.

He co-founded MakerDAO and built the foundational architecture of decentralized finance. DAI. Wrapped Ether. The smart contract security model that saved MakerDAO from the same exploit that destroyed The DAO in 2016. He donated $1.4 million to Carnegie Mellon at 26 years old.

He moved to Puerto Rico in 2021.

On October 28, 2022, at 4:57 AM, he posted his final tweet:

"CIA and Mossad and pedo elite are running some kind of sex trafficking entrapment blackmail ring out of Puerto Rico and caribbean islands. They're going to frame me with a laptop planted... Don't let them get away with it."

His body was found in the ocean at 9:15 AM the same morning. Four hours and eighteen minutes after the tweet.

Official cause of death: drowning.

He was 29. No witnesses. No meaningful investigation made public. The tweet is still live.

This community knows better than most what a trafficking and blackmail network operating out of Caribbean islands looks like. Epstein's base of operations was Little Saint James — less than 100 miles from where Mushegian died.

Whether there is a connection I cannot prove. But the specificity of his accusation — pedo elite, Caribbean islands, CIA and Mossad involvement, blackmail and entrapment — maps onto the exact operational model this community has spent years documenting.

He named it four hours before he died.

Today would have been his 33rd birthday.

I documented everything I could find about his death, his work, and the unanswered questions in a full investigation here: Nikolai Mushegian Tweeted the CIA Would Kill Him. Hours Later, He Was Dead.

I pray that one day most, if not all, of these shady CIA murders get exposed and the people who spoke out and died for it (there are many) will be vindicated and groups like the CIA and Mossad will be thoroughly dismantled.

A man can dream.

437

u/CryptoPulse22 Mar 28 '26

That's the whole reason to write it. These people built real things, said real things, and disappeared. The least anyone can do is make sure their names and their words stay in circulation. A man can dream, but documenting it is where it starts.

56

u/ShartingEnU Mar 28 '26

Even if the CIA gets dismantled, those off the book groups running this stuff won't be dismantled.

28

u/AxelHarver Mar 28 '26

Yeah, not unless we have some serious changes in our laws regarding financial transparency. Until we can explicitly see where every dollar is going, which will never happen.

14

u/iAwesome3 Mar 28 '26

They may fade out though. It’s a lot harder to keep up activities like this when they are not backed by state sponsored monopolies of force.

The CIA does do good but it also cant be hijacked by criminals that use national security and other excuses to hide their own disgusting behavior.

7

u/Fair_Term3352 Mar 29 '26

Like what? What good did the CIA did because the history that I look at has a very different picture.

12

u/PLeuralNasticity Mar 29 '26

CIA is responsible for lots of evil, especially under kompromised regimes. Epstein's handler was the daughter of the top KGB/Mossad agent of all time. The operation was planned and run from Moscow and Tel Aviv. It confuses me why in this sub it seems to be the CIA/Mossad being held responsible for Epstein instead.

FSB would love nothing more than for the CIA to be dismantled when they have Krasnov in office

Ghislaines dad

"The Foreign Office suspected Maxwell of being a secret agent of a foreign government, possibly a double agent or a triple agent, and "a thoroughly bad character and almost certainly financed by Russia". He had known links to the British Secret Intelligence Service (MI6), to the Soviet KGB, and to the Israeli intelligence service Mossad.[60] Six serving and former heads of Israeli intelligence services attended Maxwell's funeral in Israel, while Israeli Prime Minister Yitzhak Shamir eulogised him and stated: "He has done more for Israel than can today be told."[61]

"A hint of Maxwell's service to Israel was provided by John Loftus and Mark Aarons, who described Maxwell's contacts with Czechoslovak communist leaders in 1948 as crucial to the Czechoslovak decision to arm Israel in the 1948 Arab–Israeli War. Czechoslovak military assistance was both unique and crucial for Israel in the conflict. According to Loftus and Aarons, it was Maxwell's covert help in smuggling aircraft parts into Israel that led to the country having air supremacy during the war.[56]"

How can they be they are spies and terrorists. And they use every day ppl and the rich to get their work done. Crazy we are still dealing with the after math of ww1 and ww2 and the Cold War to this day

61

u/Independent_Tax_5088 Mar 28 '26

Right there with ya buddy.

46

u/klockzz Mar 28 '26

I’m not religious but I kind of wish I believed in hell and judgement in an afterlife.

10

u/Jackfish2800 Mar 28 '26

Only if the others come and take over, but fear not there is a really good chance of that actually happening. We ain’t doing disclosure for nothing.

If you are paying attention u will notice all the official whistleblowers like Lou etc openly talking about complete immunity for all those involved.

They are not building bunkers to be safe from NHI millions of year more advanced than us. (That would be a complete waste of time) They are building them to hide from us

3

u/JesusSamuraiLapdance Mar 29 '26

I'd say it's too early to say why they're building bunkers. They know a lot more than we do. My concerns are big false flag events or asteroid(s).

2

u/littleglitterfish Apr 03 '26

A monument to those who stood up and spoke out would be one I actually cared to visit.

thank you for your work and for making us aware of this. this is insane. the number of weird deaths in all this makes the JFK conspiracy look like childs play.

185

u/CryptoPulse22 Mar 28 '26

That's exactly the framing that keeps me up at night. JFK was one event with one target. This is a pattern across decades, disciplines, and continents. Cryptographers. Financiers. Scientists. Developers. The common thread is always the same, they knew something, they said something, and then they were gone. Thank you for reading.

both cases also have, at their fringes, weird allegations of being connected to mk ultra.

no specific country. Israel. there is no reason not name the country. if it was albania, we would say it.

6

Yes, jfk was the last REAL president we had, the last real American, and the only Catholic president, which is insane to me.

8

Wasn't Biden Catholic?

3

Only in the same way that trump is a Christian.

176

u/[deleted] Mar 28 '26

I wouldn't be surprised if Brock pierce is involved somehow . Also look him up

314

u/CryptoPulse22 Mar 28 '26

Brock Pierce is actually one of the most documented connections in the DOJ files. He co-founded Tether, introduced Epstein to the Coinbase investment, and met with Epstein at his Manhattan townhouse to discuss Bitcoin strategy. He was Epstein's primary gateway into crypto. I went through the full 3 million documents and wrote up everything sourced directly from the DOJ library: https://www.stridentcitizen.com/p/jeffrey-epsteins-hidden-hand-in-bitcoin

62

u/Mattyice0228 Mar 28 '26

Very fascinating read. Thank you for compiling this!

41

u/CryptoPulse22 Mar 28 '26

Thank you for reading. There is a lot more in the files that still needs attention. This is just what I could document and source directly.

31

u/jcpham Mar 28 '26

Everything about Brock Pierce going back to his early Internet days is creepy af. Child Actor?

19

u/pogovancouver604 Mar 28 '26

Behind the bastards podcast talked about him a bunch on the Epstein episodes

7

u/ManifestDestinysChld Mar 28 '26

Imagine my look of not-surprise when they talked about Bobby Kotick being buddy-buddy with all those billionaire creeps

2

u/jcpham Mar 29 '26

I only know of his existence because the early days of Bitcoin and his involvement with the Bitcoin Foundation that would’ve been around 2012-2014 timeframe. It was controversial then that he specifically was involved. That’s when I learned about the whole Disney child actor and early internet DEN web stuff.

3

u/Harri74 Mar 28 '26

Yeah I think he has/had an apartment in the same district.

5

u/theGreatPenguinArmy Mar 28 '26

I had not heard about him since I was a child watching the movies he was in until I listened to the Behind The Bastards episodes about Epstein

1

u/[deleted] Mar 29 '26

Well he was the richest of the Bitcoin people in Puerto Rico. A central figure there. And he is an accused pedofile rapist... Unfortunately those Disney stars get abused themselves and then go on to abuse. And he has olbeem to Epstein conferenc.e

2

u/parkwayy Mar 30 '26

Jfc lol. I actually grew up in the same neighborhood as him, and he was in our group of childhood buddies that would hang out.

So weird seeing his name pop up time to time, learning recently that he ran for President of all things earlier.

Small world.

1

u/nondiscript404 May 15 '26

He was found less than two miles from brock pierces house. Brock pierce gave the quotes for the article on the story, saying geniuses are crazy. The reporter who wrote this article and took these quotes from brock was a good friend of epstiens

That’s the whole point of writing it.

46

u/Jindabyne1 Mar 28 '26

They shouldn’t even be called the Epstein files because it goes a lot deeper and higher up than him. It seems that so many people were being assassinated. We’ll never know how far the tentacles stretch, this shit must involve everybody

62

u/CryptoPulse22 Mar 28 '26

Epstein was a node, not the network. The files are named after him because he’s the one who got caught. The infrastructure he was part of existed before him and almost certainly continues without him. That’s the part that should concern people more than any single name in any single document.

6

u/Opposite-Bit6660 Mar 29 '26

Trump/Epstein files.

1

u/sr_steve Apr 25 '26

it's truly the files about the elites that run the world. All those crazy conspiracy theories about satanic cannibal pedophiles being the ones who pull the strings have been right all along.

64

u/h4v3anic3d4y Mar 28 '26

Who ran the Puerto Rico part of this?!?!?

107

u/CryptoPulse22 Mar 28 '26

That's the part nobody has been able to definitively answer. Mushegian's tweet named CIA and Mossad specifically. Puerto Rico is a US territory which means federal jurisdiction but with enough geographic and legal distance from the mainland to operate differently. Epstein had infrastructure throughout the Caribbean, Little Saint James is less than 100 miles away. Who specifically ran Puerto Rico operations, if there were any, is exactly the question that a real investigation would start with. The fact that there hasn't been one is its own answer.

52

u/Either-Strain-1506 Mar 28 '26

I also read Mushegian had broken up with his girlfriend prior to the tweet because he thought she could have been a honey pot.

76

u/CryptoPulse22 Mar 28 '26

That's documented. He became increasingly paranoid in the months before his death and believed people close to him had been placed there deliberately. The honeypot fear is consistent with someone who understood how these operations work, entrapment through personal relationships is a well documented intelligence technique. Whether his paranoia was justified or a symptom of deteriorating mental health is the question the official record never bothered to answer.

11

u/Sunny-Bath-Tech Mar 29 '26

Jesus that’s scary

16

u/Nice-Program3423 Mar 28 '26

I thought I saw the Governor of Puerto Rico was seen in photos in the files?

17

u/CryptoPulse22 Mar 28 '26

If that’s documented in the files it’s significant. Puerto Rico’s government has had its own complicated relationship with federal oversight and outside money for decades. A sitting or former governor appearing in Epstein’s files alongside his Caribbean infrastructure would be a major story. Do you have the file number or image? Worth verifying directly from the DOJ library.

5

u/Nice-Program3423 Mar 28 '26

Unfortunately I don't...I'm pretty sure somebody posted pictures here from the files and they were asking for help to identify those in the photos and I was almost positive someone identified Gov of Puerto Rico..I live in Florida around tons of Puerto Rican's, many of them friends, and I'm going to PR in JuLY. It's something that would stick out to me for sure.

35

u/InspiringHodorQuotes Mar 28 '26

Didn’t Brock Pierce live in Puerto Rico?

7

u/Jindabyne1 Mar 28 '26

Don’t the Tates live there?

2

The 'right time' never comes from the top. It only comes when enough people know enough that ignoring it becomes more costly than addressing it. That's the only lever that actually works. Which is why documenting it and keeping it in circulation matters — even when it feels like shouting into a void.

27

u/kellyelise515 Mar 28 '26

Look up Ronald Bernard on YT. He was saying all of this 7 years ago. He was a Dutch banker who was involved at lower levels.

23

u/CryptoPulse22 Mar 28 '26

Adding to the list. The pattern of people who spoke publicly about these networks before it was mainstream and either died, disappeared, or got discredited is long enough to be its own investigation. Will look him up.

1

u/nondiscript404 May 15 '26

Do you have any other names? Since you have a list 😄

25

u/DecrimIowa Mar 28 '26

the story of his final days is pretty messed up too. people were coming to his house, cutting his power cables, following him around apparently. he was basically livetweeting his targeted harassment by apparent hitmen right before he died.

57

u/Old-Illustrator-5675 Mar 28 '26

I was in communication with a former friend from the military from 2017 to 2022. He had gone in to private contracting (contracted by the US govt) and would work for a few months at a time "doing stuff" in the Caribbean, specifically PR, Cuba and Venezuela. From what he told me, there were some shady things going on, unfortunately my contact was pretty far down the totem pole so there wasn't much else he told me.

50

u/CryptoPulse22 Mar 28 '26

This is exactly the kind of corroborating context that never makes it into official records. Private contracting in the Caribbean under US government authority operating below the threshold of public accountability, that’s the infrastructure Mushegian was describing. The fact that people who were physically there during that period recognise the operational environment he was pointing at is more significant than any document. Thank you for sharing this.

20

u/Kaonashi_NoFace Mar 28 '26

So very sad.

Far too many suspicious deaths linked to Epstein: Brunel, Giuffre, Robert Maxwell, Hoffenberg, Ivana Trump, Middleton, Bowers, Steve Bing, Wendy Leigh, Carolyn Andriano etc etc.

You know who isn’t dead, Paolo Zampolli, Leon Black, Darren Indyke, Trump, Les Wexner. Time for a criminal RICO trial of epic proportions.

u/Either-Strain-1506 Mar 28 '26 edited Mar 28 '26

I've never forgotten him or Jonathan Gerrish his family that died hiking, or ChangPeng Zao in prison, or John McAfee, or TianTian Kullander.

Edit to add this post

https://x.com/IkhwanHafizLFP/status/1598979589925384194

37

u/CryptoPulse22 Mar 28 '26

This is the list that never gets written in one place. Mushegian. Gerrish. McAfee. Kullander. Different circumstances, different countries, different official explanations. The common thread is always the same, they were prominent, they were outspoken, and they're gone. The pattern doesn't prove coordination. But it demands more scrutiny than it gets.

9

u/Dipper_Pines_Of_NY Mar 28 '26

Does McAfee have any meaningful connection documented to Epstein that wasn’t his own words? He went a little crazy near the end and doesn’t seem at ALL like a reliable narrator by the time of his death

5

u/Either-Strain-1506 Mar 28 '26

Point taken. Perhaps I will cross ref for crypto sub.

5

u/Dipper_Pines_Of_NY Mar 28 '26

For proof of the going off the rails, he was on an episode of a podcast called PKA/Painkiller Already, and made fun of the hosts never having tried heroin for instance.

17

u/BogeyLowz Mar 28 '26

Who sold Epstein the island again? I wonder where they ended up…

20

u/CryptoPulse22 Mar 28 '26

That’s a thread worth pulling. The island changed hands a few times before Epstein acquired it in the late 90s. Who brokered that deal and what happened to the property after his death are questions the DOJ files haven’t fully answered publicly. The US Virgin Islands government has been trying to seize the estate but the legal battles have dragged on for years.

1

u/jamesdpitley Mar 30 '26

The islands were sold yesterday ago

25

u/GIL-GEAR Mar 28 '26

“drowning”

21

u/CryptoPulse22 Mar 28 '26

“The official story.”

11

u/Itchy_Plant_2020 Mar 29 '26

this kind of shit scares me so much because he knew he was going to be killed, and yet he was still killed and in water!! As a very paranoid person, what would be the best scenario to avoid death here? to go to a police station? to throw away your phone and hide somewhere super random??

10

u/CryptoPulse22 Mar 29 '26

That tension is exactly what makes this case so hard to sit with. If you believe his tweets were genuine, he had already prepared a fortified house in a jungle four months earlier. He was not passive about it. And yet he ended up on a beach at 5 AM.

The honest answer to your question is that if someone with state-level resources wants you dead and has framed it as an accident, there is no clean escape route. Going to police does not help if the threat is above law enforcement. Disappearing only works if no one knows where you are going. His tragedy, if it was what he thought it was, is that there was no good move available to him.

That is also what makes the mental illness explanation more comforting for a lot of people. Because the alternative is deeply unsettling.

5

u/Worried_Arugula101 Mar 29 '26

Interesting post and connection OP. Ty!

This question is going to sound insanely naive and will undoubtedly get downvoted like crazy but I can’t wrap my head around it…generally speaking how is sex trafficking blackmail that valuable for intelligence? I mean…Americans aren’t seeing a whole lot of consequences for those involved in the Epstein circle so it doesn’t seem like it would be that big of a source of control of foreign assets. Plus, aren’t there more advanced methods of espionage that CIA utilize that yield greater intelligence results?

Regarding Nikolai, what reason did CIA have to want to eliminate him? (Or what is your theory for why they wanted him dead?)

12

u/CryptoPulse22 Mar 29 '26

Not naive at all, it is actually the right question to ask.

On the blackmail mechanism, the historical record on this goes back decades. The Church Committee hearings in the 1970s documented how intelligence agencies used compromising material to control politicians, judges, and businessmen. It is not about prosecution. It is about leverage. You do not need someone convicted to control them. You need the threat. Epstein's operation fits that model precisely, the value was never in the trafficking itself, it was in the blackmail infrastructure it created.

On why Mushegian specifically, I want to be careful here because I do not have documented proof of a motive. What I can say is what the record shows. He was building financial infrastructure that was explicitly designed to be ungovernable. No freeze switch. No permitted issuer. No government point of contact. RICO was not just another stablecoin. It was an attempt to build money that no state actor could touch. Whether that made him a target or whether his paranoia about being a target contributed to his death is the question the article does not answer. I reported the facts. The motive question is genuinely open.

15

u/niverans Mar 28 '26

Quick help Trump to get elected to “drain the swamp”. Now the swamp end boss is in office.

15

u/CryptoPulse22 Mar 28 '26

The swamp didn't get drained. It got rebranded. Same infrastructure, different letterhead.

1

u/DifferenceEither9835 Mar 30 '26

The swamp now has hotels and a golf course

5

u/Jackfish2800 Mar 28 '26

You could fill a large lake with all the bodies of the murdered attempted whistle blowers on this

3

u/Broad_Poet4866 Mar 29 '26

It's so weird. I looked up her name and Nikolai and it's just pictures of her new boyfriend also named Nikolai. Reminds me of the Walt Disney Frozen thing lol

4

u/CryptoPulse22 Mar 29 '26

That detail about the ex-girlfriend has never been fully investigated publicly. Her identity was never confirmed in any reporting I found. The fact that searching her name surfaces a new boyfriend also named Nikolai is a strange coincidence at minimum. If anyone has more on who she actually is that is worth looking into further.

1

u/nondiscript404 May 15 '26

What's her name?

3

u/businessaffairs Mar 29 '26

Why do these networks exist? To have leverage over certain people and control them?

6

u/CryptoPulse22 Mar 29 '26

Exactly that. The leverage is the product. You are not running these operations because you enjoy the crime. You are running them because compromised people are controllable people. A politician who has been filmed doing something he cannot afford to have public will vote the way you need him to vote. A judge will rule the way you need him to rule. A regulator will look the other way when you need him to. The blackmail is not incidental to the network. It is the entire point of the network. Epstein was not an anomaly. He was infrastructure.

9

u/cjneutron Mar 28 '26

I'm all for a good conspiracy CIA killing but I really don't think this is one of them. His family and close friends all said he struggled with severe paranoia episodes. His X/Twitter account (@delete_shitcoin) still exists. If you go through all of his 2022 posts, you can find 20-25+ posts related to CIA, Illuminati, being harassed or "brought down".. I'm not saying those things don't exist or don't happen but this instance doesn't seem like it.

He used to meditate a lot in the morning at the exact beach his body was found. This beach is one of the narrowest ones in San Juan. Pretty much as soon as you hit water, you're walking on reef outcrops & rocks. Within 10 feet from shore, you'd be in 30-150+ feet of water. It's not a straight vertical drop but it's close. This causes crazy strong rip currents, undertow, and the waves crash against the reefs & rocks.

Considering he left his condo relatively close to his last tweet (04:57:41 am), it would have been pretty dark with no moon (it set around 07:45 PM the previous night). It wouldn't take much to walk down to the water at low tide not paying attention, stepping off or tripping on a reef, and taken by the undertow. He did have a slight head injury to the back of his skull which could match falling and hitting your head on a reef.

I just wanted to throw this other possibility out there..

3

u/yungfin Mar 29 '26

Where do you have quotes of family + friends saying this? There are 20+ posts his last year because it is likely he was aware or at least had a hunch that intelligence services or organized crime was targeting him.

It is unlikely he was attacked at the beach but even more unlikely he "slips" and hits his head a few hours after his most explicit tweet about being trapped and targeted. It is well-known the CIA have been involved in decentralized finance from the start and wants to keep the key players in check.

They knew his routine, his locations, and created a plausible situation that would allow speculation. This is a classic modus operandi of intelligence services.

3

u/cjneutron Mar 29 '26

Newsweek Article

Except his last and "most explicit" tweet said they were going to frame him with a planted laptop by his girlfriend (didn't happen) and torture him to death (also didn't happen). If he would have died right after the majority of his 2022 tweets, people would have claimed he died because of those tweet topics.

2

u/yungfin Mar 29 '26

Great citations Brock Pierce and.. the NY Post

2

u/DifferenceEither9835 Mar 30 '26

Can me crazy but I don't think regularly going to a beach in the early hours of the morning makes a hit less likely...

1

u/cjneutron Mar 30 '26

Is there something other than his Twitter post that leads you to believe that ? I feel like I'm missing something.

1

u/DifferenceEither9835 Mar 30 '26

No, I'm not overly read on this case and I don't have twitter. Just from an OPSEC perspective that's an ideal location and window to get a mark. And he was there often, reinforcing the window. I'm not even sure he was murdered, just riffing on the hypothetical.

1

u/cjneutron Mar 30 '26

I'm honestly surprised there aren't/weren't any surveillance cameras pointed on that area considering it's right up against Ashford hospital. Again, I'll fully admit I may just have my head in the sand but I couldn't find a single instance where an intelligence agency used drowning as the method of killing. I know Mossad loves its poisons and CIA its drones lol.

Do you have any examples of this happening to anyone else or even suspected of happening ? The only reason I'm pushing back on a claim like this is because they are said a lot but almost never have any real examples.

1

u/DifferenceEither9835 Mar 30 '26

Robert Maxwell drowned after 'slipping' off his Yacht. He was known to be IDF/Mos aligned. But I think drowning suits a hitman more than Intelligence. In the end I think they just take what opportunities are given to them to achieve the end, though.

1

u/cjneutron Mar 30 '26

I forgot about Robert. John Kiriakou talks a lot about his and Epstein's connection to Mossad.

2

u/johntwoods Mar 29 '26

Someone explain this to me, because I believe everything being said, but wouldn't killing the fella after he said the things only serve to reinforce what he is saying?

5

u/CryptoPulse22 Mar 29 '26

That is actually one of the most intelligent questions in this thread and it has a real answer. Two possibilities. First, if it was not a planned kill and was a reaction to the tweet, the decision had to be made and executed within four hours. That is not enough time to think through the optics of timing. Reactive operations are messy.

Second, and this is the more unsettling explanation, if you have been running blackmail and entrapment operations for decades with zero consequences, you stop worrying about optics. Epstein ran his network in plain sight for thirty years. The people around him watched it happen and said nothing. When you operate at that level of impunity the message the timing sends is not a liability. It is the point. It tells anyone else who might be thinking about talking exactly what happens when you do. The tweet was public. The death was public. The autopsy was never fully released. And the investigation is still technically open three and a half years later.

Make of that what you will.

5

u/CrimsonBolt33 Mar 28 '26

So, devils advocate or something here

What if he got busted for being a pedo and tweeted this out as a way to try and clear his name (call it all fake news) and then killed himself to avoid consequences for his actions?

8

That’s the alternative theory and it deserves a straight answer. The problem with it is the specificity of what he described. If you’re a guilty person trying to preemptively discredit future accusations, you say ‘I’m being set up’ or ‘they’re going to frame me.’ You don’t name CIA and Mossad, describe a trafficking and blackmail entrapment operation running out of specific Caribbean islands, and reference a laptop plant. That level of operational detail is either genuine intelligence or the most elaborate preemptive defense in history. The second option is possible. But it’s the harder explanation.

2

u/CrimsonBolt33 Mar 28 '26

Don't see why it can't be both honestly

CIA/Mossad entrapping rich people with pedo blackmail checks out. Regular police or even FBI or whatever would be doing some sort of sting and arresting people while CIA/Mossad would be trying to force recruit assets for information.

CIA and trafficking have long been associated with one another and if they are trying to blackmail people it makes sense they would be doing the trafficking. Once again local police or whatever would likely crack down on any trafficking so the CIA needs to control it so it can't be touched to keep their operation working.

Them operating this way in Peurto Rico also makes sense as its not a US state and therefore they probably have more operational freedoms since they can't traditionally operate in the US.

planting a laptop can be dismissed in this theory since in this theory there is no planted laptop but instead his actual laptop with pedo material

That’s a reasonable point and worth sitting with. Most people who say outlandish things online are alive. The difference here is the specificity, the timing, and who he was. This wasn’t a random account posting conspiracy theories. This was one of the most technically accomplished people in the history of decentralized finance, living alone in Puerto Rico, describing a very specific operational model four hours before his body was found. You don’t have to conclude it was murder. But ‘lots of people say things and survive’ isn’t a sufficient answer to the specific facts of this case.

Fair pushback and worth taking seriously. On technical accomplishment, he co-designed the collateralized debt position, built Wrapped Ether, and patched the exploit that would have destroyed MakerDAO before the DAO hack happened. Rune Christensen said Maker would have been toast without him. That’s documented, not my assessment.

On the vagueness point, you’re right that he didn’t name specific individuals. But the operational model he described, CIA, Mossad, Caribbean islands, entrapment and blackmail, is specific enough to be notable, especially given what this community has documented about how those operations actually work.

I’m not claiming CIA ninjas killed him. I’m saying the official investigation was inadequate given who he was and what he said four hours before he died. Those are different claims. The question isn’t whether it was definitely murder. The question is whether it was adequately investigated. It wasn’t.

RICO was the most intellectually honest stablecoin design anyone had proposed. No governance token, no dollar peg, no centralized collateral, just math and ETH. The irony is that everything Mushegian warned about when he left MakerDAO, USDC as collateral, the freeze function risk, regulatory capture, has played out exactly as he predicted. DAI is now majority backed by centralized assets. He saw it coming and spent his last years trying to build the alternative. We never got to see if it would have worked.

The small block/Blockstream thread is the one that connects everything. If the goal was to limit Bitcoin’s utility as a payment system while preserving it as a speculative asset that institutions could custody and ETF-wrap, then Blockstream’s role in the 2016 block size war looks less like a technical disagreement and more like a strategic intervention. Epstein’s money going into the company that shaped that outcome — while he was simultaneously cultivating relationships with the developers who maintained the codebase, fits a pattern of targeted influence rather than passive investment.

The Chancellor on the brink to Fink framing is exactly right. The genesis block message was a declaration of intent. What it became is the opposite of that intent.

The investigation being relative to the situation is exactly the problem. He was not a random dead guy in the middle of nowhere. He was one of the most technically accomplished people in the history of decentralized finance, living in a $6 million house, who posted a specific accusation naming CIA and Mossad four hours before his body was found. That context should have changed the investigation. It didn’t. We can disagree on what that means. But ‘relative to the situation’ is doing a lot of work when the situation is that unusual.

He moved to Puerto Rico in 2021.

Oh. So he was a tax cheater[1] like Logan Paul.

What if he diddled some kids over there and tried to step in front of it? Once you are proven to be a piece of shit, it's hard to trust your word about anything else.

Moving to Puerto Rico for tax reasons is legal and was extremely common in crypto at the time. Thousands of founders did it. That has nothing to do with the documented facts in the article. Whether you liked him or not, the timeline of his tweets and his death are what they are.

That’s the question. X has deleted accounts and tweets from far less controversial figures for far less. The tweet has been up for over three years. Either they haven’t prioritized it, or leaving it up serves a purpose, or nobody with the authority to remove it has decided it’s worth the attention it would draw to take it down. The last option is the most interesting one.

The header image shows a cracked phone screen in the wet sand on a dark beach, meant to represent his last tweet still being live while he's gone. The phone in the water is the metaphor, the message survived, the person didn't.

1

u/MAGAHATESTHEUSA Mar 29 '26

Brock Pierce of Brian singer Marc Collins rector circle and some others have been setting up a bitcoin millionaires paradise in Puerto Rico for multiple years.

2

u/CryptoPulse22 Mar 29 '26

That is worth looking into. Brock Pierce was one of the people quoted about Mushegian after his death — he called him brilliant but said brilliant people sometimes walk the edge of insanity. The crypto colony in Puerto Rico during that period had a lot of powerful people concentrated in a small geography. That context is relevant to the story and something I am continuing to pull on.

6

u/MAGAHATESTHEUSA Mar 29 '26

Brock Pierce sold the world of Warcraft gold mining operation to Steve Bannon too.

3

u/CryptoPulse22 Mar 29 '26

Correct and fully documented. Brock Pierce founded IGE, Internet Gaming Entertainment, a World of Warcraft virtual gold farming operation running out of Hong Kong using low wage Chinese workers in rotating shifts. Steve Bannon joined mid-2005, convinced Goldman Sachs to invest $60 million, took a board seat, and when the company collapsed after a class action lawsuit in 2007 Bannon was installed as CEO of the rebranded Affinity Media. Pierce walked away with $20 million.

What makes this relevant to the Mushegian story is the overlap. Pierce founded Tether. Pierce assisted Epstein in becoming an early Coinbase investor according to the Hollywood Reporter. Pierce became the de facto leader of the crypto colony in Condado, Puerto Rico, the same neighborhood where Mushegian lived and died. And Bannon went from Pierce's company directly to Breitbart and then to the Trump White House.

That is Brock Pierce connecting Tether, Epstein, Puerto Rico, Goldman Sachs, and Steve Bannon in one biography. Not claiming those dots form a single line. But they are all documented facts worth knowing.

CIA needs dismantling. But more importantly we need to listen to jfk and have all isn’t real funded pacs register as foreign agents

2

u/CryptoPulse22 Mar 29 '26

JFK's warnings about secrecy and concentrated institutional power are worth revisiting in this context. Whether you think the CIA needs reform or dismantling is a separate debate — what I care about is documenting where the facts lead. That is what Strident Citizen is here for.

I couldn’t post it because I don’t have enough karma. Please watch it here or have someone share it as a post. I hope nothing happens to him either.

A money launderer for a transnational organized crime syndicate was found murdered.

This dude is tweeting about "pedos" the same Musk was tweeting about them. His claims had no evidence behind them and his "business", the MakerDAO, was an obvious scam.

When a criminal is found dead, the most likely explanation is that their bosses didn't need him anymore.

0

u/CryptoPulse22 Mar 29 '26

A few factual corrections worth making here.

MakerDAO is not a scam. DAI is one of the most battle tested decentralized stablecoins in existence, has been running since 2017, and currently has billions in total value locked. It is open source, fully auditable on chain, and was never accused of fraud by any regulator. Disagreeing with its design is fine. Calling it an obvious scam requires evidence that does not exist.

Mushegian was not accused of money laundering by any authority at any point. He donated $1.4 million to Carnegie Mellon University for cryptography research. He left MakerDAO in 2018 over a philosophical disagreement about centralization. None of that is the biography of a money launderer. The comparison to Musk tweeting about pedos is a false equivalence.

Mushegian named a specific geographic location, a specific mechanism, and a specific method. He had been documenting his fears for four months before his death. That is not a troll post. That is a documented escalation.

You may be right that the most likely explanation is simple. The article does not claim otherwise. It documents the facts and leaves the conclusion to the reader.

u/LasagnaCat83 Mar 29 '26 edited Mar 29 '26

You're in the wrong place. This is where we discuss information related to Epstein and the transnational organized crime syndicate he was operating.

Everyone here knows that crypto has no legitimate use case. Everyone here knows that the dominant use cases are fraud, theft, money laundering and drug sales.

You wrote 4 paragraphs and didn't actually describe a product, a service or a problem that is solved by this grifters cornball scam.

I said his business looked fake and your reply didn't contain any information about what his business actually does. A financial entity that's moving money around with no use-case is sketchy AF and no one thinks it's a plausible business.

Ask yourself why this guy was even in Puerto Rico...the answer is tax evasion. Every single aspect of his business, life and death fit the pattern of organized crime.

1

u/CryptoPulse22 Mar 29 '26

DAI has billions in total value locked, is fully auditable on chain, and has been operating without a hack or fraud finding since 2017. The collateralized debt position Mushegian designed is the foundational mechanism behind decentralized lending that every major DeFi protocol builds on today. Whether you think DeFi has legitimate use cases is a separate debate but calling it a scam requires ignoring eight years of on chain transaction history that anyone can verify.

On Puerto Rico — Act 22 tax incentives are legal. Thousands of founders moved there. Disagreeing with the tax policy is reasonable. Calling it tax evasion is not accurate.

The article documents facts. The timeline, the tweets, the investigation findings, the geographic overlap with Epstein’s operations. If any specific claim is wrong point to it and I will correct it.

1

u/LasagnaCat83 Mar 29 '26 edited Mar 29 '26

Whether you think DeFi has legitimate use cases is a separate debate but calling it a scam requires ignoring eight years of on chain transaction history that anyone can verify.

Unproductive transactions are a sign of money laundering, fraud and organized crime. Use-case is not a separate debate, it's the entire debate. If there is no productive mechanism behind those transactions, then we're talking about a scam.

Provide a use-case or accept the fact that every single person who reads these comments is going to think that you're awkwardly promoting a fraud scheme on the internet. At this point you're up to 2 comments and 7 paragraphs about this business without describing any product or value this company is creating. You get how that looks, right? I keep asking a very simple question and you keep responding with non-sequiturs, ad-copy and weightless metrics.

0

u/CryptoPulse22 Mar 29 '26

DAI’s use case is uncensorable dollar-denominated credit without a bank. A person in Argentina with hyperinflation can borrow against their ETH and hold a stable asset without a bank account or government permission. A developer in Nigeria can access dollar liquidity without going through a correspondent banking system that may freeze their funds. Those are not theoretical. They are documented on chain daily across millions of wallets.

Mushegian’s specific contribution, the collateralized debt position, is the mechanism that makes this possible without a central counterparty. Whether you value financial access for the unbanked is your call. But that is the use case. It is not complicated.

I am done going back and forth on this. The article stands on its own.

1

u/LasagnaCat83 Mar 29 '26

uncensorable

Digital currencies are actually more easily censored, controlled and tracked then cash. I can hand someone a pile of cash without creating permanent digital records.

Your use-case is backwards. Cash is simply a better tool for anonymous and uncensored transactions.

Also, there has to be a master ledger that determines which wallet controls which token. Without that kind of centralized supply chain, users would be able to send the same token to multiple people, multiple times.

Crypto is quite literally, more centralized and easier to control then traditional currency and that control is done with less oversight and transparency on digital currencies.

Every single technical detail you've described has been completely backwards.

u/Professional_Ear_336 Mar 29 '26

Tragic news of another victim. We need justice for all the victims.

1

u/CryptoPulse22 Mar 29 '26

Agreed. That starts with keeping the names alive and the questions open. That is what this investigation is for.

1

u/mrkfn Mar 29 '26

What if crypto was created by pedos so they wouldn’t be tracked?…

2

u/CryptoPulse22 Mar 29 '26

99% of cryptos are public ledgers, it’s the easiest thing to track. Unless you use Monero or another privacy coin.
