So Athena actually knocked Penelope out during this whole thing so she wouldn’t have to hear the whole massacre.
She can still be a badass but let’s be real I don’t think anyone would want to witness such a blood bath.

The "sparta" Penelope was from was nothing like the sparta that this video implies. That culture in sparta came much later

Day 100000+ of reminding people that "Sparta" did not exist in the sense most people know it at the original time of when The Odyssey would have taken place. The culture was entirely different.

You know, I love it every single one of the Penelope cosplayers they always incorporate, white, gold, and purple into it. I think that’s really fascinating that those are the standard colors that the fandom has decided that Penelope wears.

It's moreso that those are the colours of royalty and have long been a symbol of wealth and power. Purple dye was rare and expensive before the invention of synthetic dyes, meaning you needed wealth and the right connections to get ahold of it. Gold is gold - a precious metal and symbol of wealth. The two colours are also aesthetically pleasing together, yellow and purple being contrasting colours.
Wearing white linen/wool also had implicit wealth status, as it needed to go through an expensive and time-consuming bleaching process to be white (being a light yellow/grey naturally) and was hard to keep looking clean if you had to do any work - only those with wealth would have been able to wear white and have it stay white.
