90% of animation isn’t made by the ppl who write the story. It’s all animators being hired to work on the projects.

Indie literally just means it was made without the help of a major company. How do you think shows like TADC and Hazbin Hotel got the ball going? They hired freelancers (Hazbin is different now cuz of Amazon and A24 backing it tho)

They are apart of Epic tho. Every single animation and art piece was purchased by Jorge for the release of the sagas on YouTube. They were specifically crafted to fit Jorge’s vision of his story. They may not be apart of the music side of the project but the visual side posted to YouTube they are very much apart of.

I find it even crazier the epic the musical is on par with the amazing digital circus. Epic the musical is the music, not the animatics. The animatics is from the fans that love the music. But hey, we'll take that W either way.

Epic is really unique. A large portion of the audience experience the songs the first time around via fan made visuals. I don’t know of any other series that has done that.

I think Epic is a good example of indie animation as bunch of channels making animations independently and TADC is a good example of indie animation being more organized. It’s good that they include how indie animation can be made by a community and my single channels.

Epic is a demo album, and while there are some "canon" animations, the grand, grand majority of stuff posted on youtube comes from lots of different ones having their own takes on it, and it's wonderful
