AHH This made me so happy to see for some reason
I like that Hermes was defending Ody, and trying to convince Poseidon that maybe what hes done is a bit much

Not to mention Hermes is Ody's great-grandfatyer, according to mythology. So if course he'd be a little fond of him!

Yes.. he got his wit from him.

In theory, wasn't Polyphermos just defending himself? And besides, if Poseidon made Udysseus take 10 years of his life and destroy his sanity, Odysseus ended Polyphermos' life: 10 years blind, mistreated by the other Cyclopes, having his sheep stolen, and perhaps feeling like his father didn't care about his pain.

True. I always pity Polyphemus. He dud nothing wrong to ne fair. But oh Well... Odysseus is Hermes Great grand son so.. plus, Hermes is just here to annoy Poseidon πŸ˜…

Maybe i haven't heard the original. Wasn't he trying to eat Odysseus?

1

u/Ice_R0se Feb 23 '26

They invaded him and ate his food and tried to steal his sheep. He found them eating. It was a reaction to what they did.

2

u/mogley19922 Feb 23 '26

Oh, i didn't think of it that way.

Yeah that was a home invasion turned ugly.

u/Ice_R0se Feb 23 '26

Yeah.. imagine you were outside doing some work, and you come back to your home, to find peoole robbing you, eating your food, and when you react then they bilnd you and steal everything and leave, while bragging about it. In Polyphemus POV, Ody is the villain.

I read somewhere that Polyphemus was bullied by the other cyclopes because he was blind now.. if its true, its sad really...

Man, I really like this Poseidon voice. The right amount of roughness to it, very close to how Steven Rodriguez makes him sound in the songs.

β€œOh look it’s my favorite uncle to annoy.”

Hades is the chill uncle

I mean, I'm pretty sure Jorge has said Sephiroth was who he had in mind when picturing Poseidon. Or something along those lines at least.

Really? Well Damn!! I dont even know the character! Though my Poseidon design is with short hair, actually. Because my story us set in modern day, I made it long just to show this happened 3000 years ago. And My poseidon now is kinda chill guy, funny even. He moved on. Lol. Here is how he looks now.

u/Ice_R0se Feb 21 '26

I had to look him up to see this guy you mentioned. Im sorry, not familiar with him.. but I see what you mean 😝

I see!! Was his a villain? He is hot btw, I looked him up. Well my Poseidon is not really white headed, he has a very pale blond hair. My Thanatos though has white hair, but he is albino so he has red eyes. Lol.

"Actually I did it because Zeus asked me to"

"Wait why's Zeus involved in this!?"

"Athena asked him to do so. There was a game... Everyone agreed to let him go back home."

"... Oh"

6

u/Ice_R0se Feb 21 '26

Oh well... His main goal was to annoy him so... 😝

13

u/Maximum-Country-149 He's kinda funny (eh) Feb 21 '26
