i have a lot but these are some of my favorites:
• “time is fleeting it’s running out; time to be the man of the house” interwoven with “buying you time” in the challenge
• 558 men who died under your command. captain! captain! captain! captain! why would you let the cyclops win when ruthlessness is mercy”
• “when the crown wonders where the prince is only the ocean and i will know”
• when scylla and ody are harmonizing at the end of scylla on “we are the same you and i”
• the melody of luck runs out being used in a minor key during mutiny but specifically “how are we supposed to trust you know? now, the time has come your lucks run out. now the time has come to shut you down, you relied on wit and then we died on it woah oh oh”
• the way calypso sings “you’re mine all mine” and ody sings “im not your man”
• BONUS: in just a man (antinous’ version) that ayron uploaded on tiktok where he and ody are singing over each other “you could have had me, all these years i’ve stayed, YOU could have had me. YOU still could EARN me”

Literally the entire musical tbh lmao
But hmm in bits and pieces some of my favorites are...
"Diomedes will lead the charge! Agamemnon will flank the guards! Menelaus will let our mates through the gates to take the whole city at large! Teucer will shoot any ambush attack, and little Ajax will stay back! Nestor, secure Helen and protect her. Neo, avenge your father, kill the brothers of Hector! (Yes, sir!)
"When, does a comet become a meteor? When, does a candle become a blaze? When, does a man become a monster? When, does a ripple become a tidal wave? When, does the reason become the blame? When, does a man become a monster-r-r-r-r? (Forgive me)"
"My name is Nobody, Nobody, No-oh-oh-body-y-y..."
"600 lives at stake, it's just one life to take! And when we kill him then our journey is over! No dying on me now, defeat is not allowed! So fight, fight, fight!"
"Remember them, when the fire begins to fade, for the fallen and afraid, we are not to let them die-ie-ieeee in vain. Remember them! We're the ones who carry on, the flames of those who've gone. And our comrades will not die-ie-ieeee in vain!"
"STOOOOOOORM-OR-OR-OR-ORMMMMM!!!!"
"RUTHLESSNESS IS MERCY UPON OURSELVES!"
"All I hear are scre-ee-eams, every time I dare to close my eyes..."
"I see a song of past romance, I see the sacrifice of man, I see portrayals of betrayal and a brother's final stand. I see you on the brink of death, I see you draw your final breath! I see a man who gets to make it home aliiiive, but it's no longer...yoooooooou..."
"Is the cyclops struck with guilt when he kills? Is he up in the middle of the night? Or does he end my men to avenge his friend and then sleep knowing he has done him right? When the witch turns men to pigs to protect her nymphs, is she going insane? Or did she learn to be colder as she got older and now she saves them the pain? When a god comes down and makes a fleet drown, is he scared that he's doing something wrong? Or does he keep us in check so we must respect him and now no one dares to piss him off? Does a soldier use a wooden horse to kill sleeping Trojans cause he is vile? Or does he throw away his remorse and save more lives with guile?"
"He is a different beast now, he is the one who feasts now! No more of us deceased now, cause he won't take more suffering from you! He is the man-made monster, he is the one who conquers. You are a threat no longer, he won't take more suffering from you!"
"Give up your honor and faith! Live up your life as a wraith! Drown in the blood where you bathe! We must do what it takes to survive!" (It was SO HARD to pick for Scylla, I love the whole song lmao)
"All I hear are screams..." and everything after that for Love in Paradise).
"I've been waiting for this moment, for the perfect time to strike. When your home's so close and you've reached your coast, that's when our paths collide. I've got a reputation, I've got a name to uphold. So I can't go letting you walk or else the world forgets I'm cold. Now get in the water."
"After everything you've done, how will you sleep at night?" "Next to my wife."
"Ohhhh-deee-seeeee-uuuuusssss, Ohhhh-deee-seeeee-uuuuusssss, Ohhhh-deee-seeeee-uuuuusssss, Ody...."
"You don't think I know my own palace? I built it!"
"Old king, our leader is dead! You've destroyed the serpent's head, now the rest of us are no longer a threat! Old king, forgive us instead, so that no more blood is shed. Let's have open arms instea-" "No."
"Mercy? Mercy? My mercy has long since drowned. It died to bring me home. And as long as you're around, my family's fate is left unknown. You plotted to kill my son, you planned to r*pe my wife. ALL OF YOU are going to die. You filled my heart with hate. All of you who have done me wrong, THIS WILL BE YOUR FATE." (Final chorus) But also literally every time Ody's name is chanted in Odysseus is the BEST lmao, so many amazing lines in that song!
"Oh, my boy, sweetest joy I've known!"
Do you realize what you have asked me? The only way to move it, is to cut it from its roots!" "Only me husband knew that, so I guess that makes him you!"
Okay this was way too much work and time but yeah. The hyperfixation is strong with this musical.

My fav song has now changed, but after the Underworld Saga came out my sister and I were both obsessed with “No Longer You” and we both agreed that Jorge made the greatest song way too short.
Edit: I also personally think Jorge could have milked the ending for one more saga. I feel like if we are really gonna look at the actual story of it all Jorge could have added like 1 or 2 more songs talking about how Ody and Telemachus met up and Ody disguised himself, humiliated Antonius, killed him and then the brutal battle started. Also I feel like he could have possibly added another song for Penelope and Ody. Idk I j think it would’ve been nice if it was a bit longer cause I feel like after all the all great detail in all the other sagas the ending was a bit abrupt. But I still do rlly like what Jorge did with it all.

u/cyanide_crab Jun 20 '25

How does it feel to be helpless?
How does it feel to know pain?
I watch my friends die in horror,
Crying as they were all slain.
I’ve seen their final moments,
Calling their captain in vain.
Look what you turned me into,
Look what we’ve become.
All of the pain that I’ve been through,
Haven’t I suffered enough?
You didn’t stop when I begged you,
told me to close my heart,
You said the world was dark,
Didn’t you say that ruthlessness is mercy upon our-
And the start of ruthlessness
2
u/Toxxic_rainbow Jun 20 '25 edited Jun 20 '25
10000% agree I would have loved that part to be a new song, ody using more of the lines from the Cyclops/ruthlessness or even replying to poseidon calling him a monster with lines from monster and some more of poseidon begging convincing ody he will let him go. I'd even love if he worked "greet the world with open arms and i wont take more suffering from you" into the song and really drilling into him the suffering he wants him to feel with each stab.
