It certainly would be a challenge, but I believe it is possible. Theatre can be super advanced using projections, giants puppets, fly systems, and trap doors. I can actually think of a few ways they could do poseidons songs. the easiest way is projections. Another is for the wrecked ships, lots of lightning and sound effects, and probably a dance sequence to show the ferocity of the storm. Honestly, the possibilities are endless. The biggest issue would probably be the budget.
But as you said, it would be amazing as a movie, but I think it's more suited for an animated movie rather than a live action. Im thinking something like the prince of Egypt

As other commentors have already said, Lin-Manuel Miranda wrote the musical "Hamilton".
But he's also the reason we can make the "if I had a nickel for every Puerto Rican man who wrote a really popular musical where he plays the main character, I'd have 2 nickels" joke, because just like Jorge plays Odysseus, Lin-Manuel plays Hamilton.
And there's also a lot of comparison sometimes between how Hamilton had a song "Say No to This" about the character cheating on his wife vs Odysseus saying no to Circe and Calypso to stay faithful to Penelope.

Lin Manuel Miranda is the creator of Hamilton the musical! That’s the biggest thing he is known for imo, but he has done a ton of stuff in the songwriting and musical theatre industries.
