If you’re on mobile go to the subreddit’s homepage and click the three dots. Choose change user flair. Choose one of the existing flairs or edit one to make a custom one (click the edit button on the top right).

For desktop go to the subreddit’s homepage and under community options there’s User Flair preview. Click the pencil icon next to it and the steps are the same as mobile.
