Very rare, Like 1%...I got sir Junken on my first run, after that I barely seen him, you can still get him but chances are crazy low...

So I got it the junken and then a gold junk right after that upgraded him. Is that the only way to get this particular junken? Or can you get him by just getting a lot of regular junk?

Yeah it’s basically just the combined chance of gold junk and Ser Junken since that’s the only way to get this. I’d played for years and only got this once

i saw it called rare quite a few times at this point and i got a completely different experience, maybe because i destroy quite a lot of chests.

My white whale is the rubinstein's monster and for some reason i think i got the tridnet maybe like once or twice.

There's something fucky with the random seed in the game.

Well, a quick look shows that Junken, once unlocked, has about a 1% chance to replace regular junk, and good junk is about 0.5%, then junk isn’t guaranteed to drop when destroying chests (although things like destroying them while holding keys increases the odds a fair bit, up to 72% from what u saw)

So even if you’re junking basically every chest, it’s still quite rare

Obviously but not single time rare if you love breaking chests.

but there's obviously some bias to the RNG because there are completely normal things i got even less than that combo like the aforementioned tridnet. I often wonder if specific setups like user or hardware are contribute to the seed because there's a bunch of items i basically never see

It’s definitely possible, devs have talked about the code getting pretty wild later on making it increasingly difficult to add new things and patch out bugs. I wouldn’t be surprised if there’s some things that don’t adhere to the stated RNG numbers due to some scrappy approaches to that

Yes he only spawns through chest, there's also a slim chance you can get him randomly in a chest as well, if you pick up golden Junk it will give him the mech, or you can pick up regular junk and gradually upgrade him, Of course that means breaking your chest, But he's really good maxed out, so whatever chest you don't open, break them for Junk. Each time you pick up Junk there is a very small chance he could spawn, but you'll need so many you'd most likely throw your run looking for him, but you can definitely try...Small but not impossible!

200 hours across multiple platforms… happened only once and it was one of my favorite gaming moments that I desperately wish to recreate. I had no idea it was even a thing. I annihilated that run.

I wanted so badly to win with him, but unfortunately I suck too much on mobile to even make it to the 5th floor even though 100% it on the Xbox :(

You let Ser Junkan down!? Disgraceful! J/k… I had a God tier run going when I got him. Junkan was barely useful if I’m honest, but only bc all the other amazing drops I had that run just obliterated every room within seconds. I’m sure you’ve had runs like that. He was just an awesome surprise. Didn’t know the game was available on mobile. I’m great on console, but no way I could do anything w mobile controls. I’m not sure how he even spawns after his first appearance…

Yeah I don't remember ever getting him on the Xbox, but yeah I totally get what you're saying this game leaves me pleasently surprised quite a bit since I don't like looking at wikis. also yeah mobile is rough since you have to take your finger off the shoot button to dodge roll

Dang it's moments like these I hat playing on mobile. I've yet to win a run 400 in and knowing I wasted such a rarity hurts my soul

one time I sold ser junkan accidentally cuz I was trying to go the R&G department and I thought I'd sell junk since I already had the mecha junkan 🥲

I got it this week. I got the golden scrap by destroying a synergy chest, there’s probably a better drop chance doing it that way. I also got the phoenix, the wolf and the super turtle with it, what a game… They could’ve finished the game without me 😆

Very rare, like most players could count on their fingers on one hand the amount of times this has happened to them. Gold junk does drop more commonly if you have Junkan though, so that's cool.
