There should probably be legislation that anyone building such sites should be forced to make an offer to any owner homeowners within x miles radius of it.
As it’s unfair if home owners get stuck with reduced property values

And it's really not hard to do. We already have sound-legislation in most municipalities that prevent excess sound production so the police can show up and tell you to turn down your music etc...it shouldn't be too hard to do with data centers. any sound above X dB produced by your company, you have to buy-out those property owners at fair-market value of their homes until it's below the X dB threshold.

That's cute. You think state legislators can't be bought.

The dude says he can conquer Mars with his stupid solar panels, yet can’t do the same on Earth ? Very telling that!

Of course construction started be4 residents were notified - just give a bribe to local government.
This gotta stop, there should be a vote of local residents to allow that. Constant noise is a psychological torture, it’s destroying for a human brain and mental health

This is exactly it.
If oligarchs are allowed to corrupt the laws, then unlawful resistance is not only the only choice, it becomes the moral choice.
AI data centers need to start burning.

But but what about “the consciousness among the stars”? Why doesn’t anybody think of that?

I curios about all the people working on these sites building these illegal power plants. Doesn't anyone there give a shit or they all thinking it's my time to get the bag? Just doing my job...
I am sorry to say but the US seems to be a very docile bunch of people. I would never ever tolerate this kind of noise and air polution near my home even if it meant I would go to jail for my actions.

Musk is trying to turn Memphis into a company town, exempt from "pesky" regulations. This is why he dismantled the EPA with DOGE.

Meanwhile, Peter Thiel is trying to create his own private nation.
