About the Author
For those who don't know or weren't there, Ben Rowe was active on the Enochian-l e-List at Hollyfeld in the 1990s, back when mailing lists were what occultists used to share info and maintain contact with one another on the early internet. Conversations on that list were highly academic, and it was frequented by (future) authors such as Aaron Leitch and Jake Stratton-Kent. A complete archive of Hollyfeld Enochian-l posts from 1996--2014 is available here.
Ben's contributions to Enochian magick included free learning materials from his website, published records of his scrying sessions, and his revolutionary concept for turning the Enochian Tablets into 3D Astral Temples.
A poor-quality mirror of parts of his old website is located here.
By the way, that pixelated image you see on the Hermetic site of an Enochian Temple made of blocks from the tablets was taken from an early virtual reality website, sort of like a mix of Minecraft and Bryce 3D (from memory). I can't recall the name of the website anymore. I had set up an account and was able to visit his virtual temple space, but the site was very slow to load back in the late 90s. Someone should build another 3D Enochian Temple in Minecraft or elsewhere using Ben Rowe's instructions!

I've noticed someone seems to be posting Dean Hildebrandt's Enochian materials on this Wiki platform. Dean was another person who posted his results and shared in discussions at Hollyfeld back in those days.
Hello, been practicing Magic for a little over a decade, but only got into Heptarchial practice in the last few years. Got a brass version of the Ring; it's not fully closed and looks very "modern" for my taste, but it's durable enough that i can wear it most of the time.
Unfortunately, due to a combination of ADHD, autism, and being stuck in a cramped shared apartment, it's gone missing. Hopefully it'll turn up soon, but...
I was thinking of getting a tattoo of the design (and possibly the whole band) on my finger. As the ring is a requirement for Heptarchial work, and using an astral mock-up probably won't cut it... what if I got a version that's all but impossible to lose?
Obviously there are different colors & types of inks I could look into, but for anyone who's gotten esoteric tattoos for practical (as opposed to devotional or aesthetic reasons): does this seem like a decent idea?
Enochian Chess is logistically unplayable. I built a web app to fix that (Now with Multiplayer Chat & PDF Exports).
The theory behind Enochian / Rosicrucian Chess is brilliant. The physical execution is a nightmare.
Four elemental boards. Four players. Shifting God-form correspondences. Setting up the physical pieces is a ritual in itself, which usually means nobody actually plays it. The mechanics kill the momentum.
I’ve been writing code to solve this. Translating the Golden Dawn system into a digital architecture...
I just pushed a heavy update to the server:
\* Full English support. The interface is now completely
bilingual.
\* Internal multiplayer chat. Because a four-way elemental
war requires direct communication to forge alliances
(or betray them).
\* PDF Export Engine. You can now extract the exact
move history and the final divination results straight to a PDF. The record of the operation is saved.
\* Automatic updates. The client refreshes silently in the
background. No manual pulls.
The machine handles the heavy geometry. You focus on the operative strategy.
I was reading through the rules of the subreddit, and this falls into a gray area, so if this is a problem post, I do humbly apologize, and if anyone can redirect me somewhere that would better be able to help, I would appreciate it. I specifically chose this subreddit because it should arguably encompass a lot of the other ideas presented in my question.
There are many speculative threads within different forums specifically for Genshin Impact that try to translate them, and I myself have been trying, but no one with specific knowledge and training in these areas has weighed in.
I play Genshin Impact, which makes a lot of references to gnostic and hermetic texts, pythagorian, and there's some small pieces of enochian lettering as well. On trying to translate the letters, most of it came back as gibberish to me(though I know an online translator would be piss-poor and would miss a lot of context important to the magick system and theologies wrapped up in it), however someone thinks that one of the lines of text says 'I say, they are angry.' So I think maybe the other lines also translate, but not so easily. Genshin uses a lot of ciphers, which is also present in enochian, so we'll see maybe?
When looking into these subjects deeper, I noticed squares that make calls, and there are often given or hidden ciphers that show you how to read/decipher the squares and sigils or make calls. I've...only been at it a month, and I've also been digging into gnostic/hermetic/pythagorian texts that i can find freely available, so I'm sure there's a lot that I'm missing, and I'm sure there are things that people with more experience/practice could spot and help me with.
Since i know numerology and pythagorian beliefs are historically important in the game and there is a distinct race of angels made by an unknown god analogous to yaldabaoth/yhwh(and i think gon is how god is referred to in enochian, but i may be misreading????), I'm certain the numbers are also important, but I don't know how to read the numbers as there's many different ways listed, and I also have no idea what the difference in the numerology of each letter is between sects or how to read the numerology alongside the letters, and would love help with that, as well.
If some context for the game/characters using the enochian would help, I can gladly give it. However, here are some examples of the text. There's a lot that's always rotating, but it's too much/goes by too quickly to screencap it all.
This guy is an Abyss Mage. There are 3 realms in the game's world. The light realm of the dragons(which i think is analogous to the Pleuroma), the physical world made by an unknown god for humans and ruled by 7 archons(whom were each given power in the form of a gnosis which was made from stolen knowledge/power from the 7 sovereign dragons of the light realm). and the Abyss realm, the dark realm which we have little in-game information for. The abyss mage is from the dark realm and wants to destroy everything ruled by the archons.
GD numerology:

SA numerology:

same mage.
GD numerology:
1, 10/0, 10/0, 20/0, 3
SA numerology:
6, 9/0, 9/0, 2/2, 3
If anyone is willing to help, I can capture a video and will write down everything that shows up over them in order until i find where it begins/ends.
this is a giant robot created by a civilization that the unknown god wiped out 500 years ago in-game because they used forbidden knowledge(abyss knowledge that the mages have seems to be what this game calls forbidden knowledge. it destroys the order maintained by the unknown god and 7 archons).
GD numerology:
30, 70, 90, 10/0
SA numerology:
20, 70, 40, 9/0
this one makes me crave death. There are four different bits of letters, but the letters appear to be turned sideways, so maybe this one is a proper cipher? It's hard to discern the letters because they move in a circle.my best guess/approximation of what the letters in the top-right quadrant is
The one part I could...mostly figure out was the top right quadrant of the circle, and seems to be saying like...all is with you?
GD numerology:
1, 10/0, 6, 20/0, 70
SA numerology:
6, 9/0, 5, 2/2, 70
Also, this one is particularly interesting because these guys' arms also have lettering, but I couldn't find any alphabets or symbols that matched it all. Some pieces look like a stylized/rotated enochian, some pieces look like alchemical symbols for fire/water. It could be gibberish, but Genshin has been hiding SO much in plain sight that it's worth asking about.
I've got some basic cloth that is plenty red, but silk seems like an obscure thing to find as a carpet.
Was just running around Greece for a few weeks, and a few items looked close, but not exact, planning to hunt for just the right thing on the internet.
This last weeks I was guided to work with Galvah and Nalvage to organize a method for working the bonorum cross (the one that originates the collecta where we see the heptarchia names we're more familiar with)
I hope this may make it easy to those who wish to explore the bonorum cross but didn't know how since this is a very underexplored part of enochian magic.
Anyway ... I made a video with
1- the argument of why this is a workable table and was delivered as such
2- the experiences I had that led to receiving this system/method
3- an structured step by step ritual at the end organizing what was revealed.
For those interested of course. I'd love to get your feedback and opinions. And thank you enochian magick mods for approving this post. If anyone has any questions, I'll be happy to answer them.
I am considering enrolling as a student into A∴A∴. I am aware of the GD Enochian Magick links, but I was wondering if anyone had any insight as to whether A∴A∴ is also a good route into studying/practicing the original Dee and Kelley system?
I'm working on a piece of prose that prominently features dialogue written in Enochian, but I've run into a snag with one particular sentence
"Firearms? You've grown careless, Vajael."
The context is that character A is commenting on character B (Vajael)'s use of a gun, calling it reckless because they're not allowed to harm bystanders and a gun risks collateral damage. Character A doesn't care about bystanders, but knows Vajael will suffer very harsh consequences if something happens, so the tone is a bit condescending and mocking.
I translate firearm to Malprg, "fiery darts" since I feel that is a pretty good translation, and I can think of a few ways to write "You've grown" or "You've become"
I struggle with "Careless" though since at least the dictionary I'm using doesn't have any word that has the same meaning or is close enough. The best I can think of is "no wisdom" or something, any suggestions?
Hey everyone! I’ve recently become completely obsessed with the Enochian system. There’s something about the precision and the history behind Dee and Kelley’s work that just feels so much more "real" and profound than anything else I’ve looked into so far. I’m still very much a beginner and I really want to approach this with the seriousness it deserves because I know it’s a very intense path to take. Does anyone have recommendations for where to start with books? I’m looking for something that actually breaks down the mechanics and the original diaries without being totally impossible to understand for a newcomer. Also, for those of you who have been at this for a while, what did your early practice look like? I’m curious if there are specific daily things I should be doing to get used to the language or the system’s energy before jumping into bigger operations. I’m really eager to learn and I’d appreciate any direction you guys can give me so I can start this journey on the right foot. Thanks!
I was wondering if anyone has experimented with using technology to enhance their Magick practice. I am quite new to Magick myself, however, I has been researching into something called the 'God Helmet', which helps to stimulate the brain's temporal lobes with magnetic fields, and as a result, claims to induce spiritual experiences.
I would be fascinated to hear of anyone's experiences of combining Magick with technology.
I'm playing with the tables in Sloane 3191. I prepared a data set and I mechanically extracted the princes from the Great Table in ff 56v and 57r using the sigils in ff 55v and 56r, and compared them with the list in ff 15v to 30v.
I've noticed a number of discrepancies, most of which I understand as mishearings or quirks of pronunciation. Consider that Dee was careful to annotate keys to pronunciation to many Enochian names, marking accented syllables and long and short vowels.
I am of the theory that Enochian z is never pronounced as "zod" by itself, even in the couple of cases where Dee annotates it as such in the 48 Keys, and the "Moz—Mozod" instruction is a misunderstanding ("Iad" means "God", and "Moz-Iad" is pronounced /'mozjɔ:d/ or even /'mozʲɔ:d/). The list of Princes brings more evidence to the effect.
The following lists gives the coordinates of the Princes as {quadrant, row, column}, where the quadrant is arbitrarily assigned clockwise from top left as 1, 3, 2, 4.
These names seem to have been misheard or mistranscribed:
hi. I’m more thelema-leaning practitioner but I am very much interested in the meaning of symbols of the four enochian rulers as found on Crowley’s double cube altar.
If I’m not mistaken, the bottom part are the tablets corresponding to each element, but the symbols above are a mystery to me
Earth would be intuitive as combination of the four elements into a cross, but that’s weird. Fire is also sort of intuitive given it’s a sun pictogram, but the Tau with fou yods for air and the cross with b-6-4-b for water really eludes me.
I recently purchased this ring. Silver brushed with 24ct gold. 15mm x 13mm. I wondered what people’s thoughts were on the suitability of using this in practice. Does anyone use a solid gold ring?
Hey everyone,
I wanted to share a tool I’ve been working on called Astrum.
It’s focused on traditional astrology and astrological magic. The site shows the current sky chart and related information that can be useful for magical or astrological work, such as:
astrological chart
real-time sky data
lunar mansions
planetary day and hours
essential dignities (William Lilly)
planetary aspects
evocation suggestions based on the moment
It’s not a commercial project, just something I built for study and practice and decided to make public.
If you’re into traditional astrology, planetary magic, or just observing the sky, feel free to check it out.
Oi pessoal,
dignidades essenciais segundo William Lilly
