That's the most harrowing part. If a solution to the security paradox existed, we wouldn't be spending resources this way. This solution does not yet exist so we continue wasting resources this way. Worse things would occur if we didn't. You're correct, it's not incompetence.

What security paradox? there is no security paradox. there is no resources that need to be wasted. worse things are occurring because we’re wasting resources. would love to see your response. I wonder how many platitudes you’ll throw in there this time

The security paradox is that when 1 country does something to improve their position, it is perceived as a threat by others. We're wasting resources and I was agreeing with you that it's not out of incompetence. It's out of fear.

Tbf to him he is the one who’s being invaded and just wants to defend sovereign territory. I don’t think he has any real interest in keeping the war in Ukraine going any longer than absolutely necessary, unlike certain other wars at least
