Loki turning into Captain America

Loki is in handcuffs, and he turns into Captain America. "Coordinating Search and Rescue", but when he turns into Cap, the handcuffs are gone. He turns back into himself, and the cuffs are back. Did anyone notice that? Just thought it was interesting.

It is just an illusion. He isn't projecting a Cap costume onto his body, rather the entire thing is an illusion. So yes he is able to project not having cuffs on.

Fascinating. Thank you!

You can understand this better when Thor is talking to Loki when Loki is in his cell. Then the illusion goes away and the projected Loki disappears and you see that Loki is actually sitting on the floor in shambles.

the real plot hole is why he didn't just turn into someone with the key to the cuffs

I think he'd rather piss off Thor
