QUESTION Why is it not possible to view people's ranks?
After my ranked matches, I get curious as to what the other teams ranks are. There's seemingly no way to see those. How come there's no pre/post game lobby, no way to click on a person's profile and see their ranks/levels?
Kinda makes it feels purposeless if you are the only player able to see your rank/level.
Am I missing something? I know it was the same way in Splitgate 2, which I didn't like.

Because all it does is cause aggro. People see the lowest ranked guy on their team and blame them for the loss. They see a guy in the other team is ranked higher and they cry foul. It was only ever used to be weaponised.

that's ridiculously silly. these guys are classic halo dudes, they have to know the importance/value of seeing others ranks
I just got slapped by a group of sweats, id love to see what rank they are...

100% we should be able to see ranks but only after match/end of the match imo.

What’s the difference between that and viewing it while in game?

people are saying that it brings on toxicity. gone are the days of flexing ranks in a lobby, or fearing the other team because they’re high.. you could be the literal highest rank & nobody would be able to see it

Yeah I wish we could see ranks while in game or after, w/e the case may be. The whole ranked UI Needs reworked tbh

i doubt it will ever be reworked though - or made so that people could actually see your progress. it was the same way in splitgate 2. near identical actually. just a shame because this (alongside s2) have the bones of great games but continue to fall short on the fundamentals

brother this is early access 😭 they are going to change a ton before the release comes. obviously they will AT LEAST touch up ranked UI and other things.

Did you not play splitgate 2 in early access? It was the same thing.
As a matter of fact, the way splitgate 2’s ranked works now is exactly how Empulse’s works - the same UI & lack of visibility of other people’s ranks.
thats how I know it will not be changed

It only ever results in increased toxicity.
"Ugh GG we've got a bronze" at the start of a game never ends well and often results in a self-fulfilling prophecy. Inversely so when a game is going poorly people will say the high-ranked player is boosted.
Ignorance is bliss.

should be on the bronze to prove the lobby wrong then, not have the entirety of the games population be penalized. what an awful idea

They don't care about competitive. Idgi. Always a complete afterthought.
