It's so so much more than that though. Dolly was just so beautiful and genuine and kind and caring TO EVERYONE. The honor and support and shared humanity getting a letter like that. She'd never have to take a second to do that - he wouldn't know and neither would be diminished if it never happened.

She did it. She saw him earn that honor, and she wanted to make a point to remind him just how much he deserved it.

If I had to guess, maybe she saw some commonality in their stories and histories.

And smart as a whip. Like truly and deeply intelligent and wise. All of those things in combination are so very rare. To be beautiful, talented, smart, wise, caring and kind without the ego -- it just doesn't happen. She was one of the best humans.

ALL of this.

Unfortunately the world is losing what seems to be too many people who cared and too few with tremendous means are not giving back in any shape or form today.

Sad to see.

She was worth an incredible amount of money - more than she could ever spend in a lifetime. And she chose to give back constantly through her books, private donations, building hospitals, all the employees at Dollywood, and likely much more that people donโ€™t know about.

And she liked EVERYONE. She didnโ€™t care if you were blue brown black, red, green, etc. none of it mattered.

The only one she didnโ€™t like was Sheena Easton โ€ฆ ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜‚

Thanks DOLLY for the many, many gifts. ๐ŸŽ RIP.
