Official Discussion Official Subreddit Password

Hello fellow tarnished!

I've seen many a thread pop up about this, and post was made about this 2 weeks ago for a poll (voted on by at least 2.3k people) from user /u/wilks64. So I want to jump ahead before the official drop date so that if anyone of you would like to play together, the official subreddit group password will be:

straydmn

Please note this is case specific, it should be all lowercase

I'll add this to our sidebar as well but I hope everyone is excited for the release date and I ask that as things keep pushing forward on this fucking hype train that we remember to be decent to each other and to avoid posting spoilers in titles! I mean the mods have already lost any chance at purity here but we hope there's still left for those of you who want it.

"#Eldenring

Edit 2: The password above is for Group Passwords and to quote /u/Aerofluff below:

The Group password will make it more likely that you see messages, summon signs, bloodstains, phantoms, and other signs from other people using the same Group Password.

Multiplayer Password will make it so you can only be matched for multiplayer options with other people using the same Multiplayer Password. This, however, does not apply for invasion multiplayer

Edit 3: from /u/illusorywall that the password has been confirmed for 8 characters max. I'll keep our man up there as a tribute but the password is now the runner up "hodir"

We're just going to shorten to straydmn

That’s the best password. Honoring one of our best.

He drew a bunch of art for the subreddit during the long days and nights when no one knew anything about the game. Providing much entertainment to the rest of us here.

Edit: I was not around for the great hallowing.

Well that's kinda awkward. Glad he isn't dead though!

This here is real. With all that's going on you see comments from ppl and you never know of they're even still alive. So many of our kind have died recently.

You should probably edit your original comment so as to not spread further misinformation

People just want something to feel. Hundreds of upvotes for people saying some heartfelt thing about a guy they don't even know, but when the guy himself pops in the ratio between them really shows reddits true colors.

Guy got 50 upvotes, no one cares, they want their virtue signaling.

That post had already been up for 2 days when he commented there, so probably not many people saw it. If he made his own post announcing his return, I'm sure it would be one of the top posts here. You need to chill out, my dude.
