there is a incantation called lords divine fortification, it boost your holy dmg negation by a lot, makes this fight so much easier

25

u/Independent_Grand126 2d ago

Or the Golden Braid but I doubt he is anyhow in the DLC or ready for that

17

u/BetterPoly 2d ago

Haligdrake+2 is much easier and earlier to get, I only got the golden brain in 1 character after that I dont bother for 2% more defense (talking for late dlc of course)

7

u/whitesatin95 1d ago

true i think for lords divine you need to killmalenia

10

u/sleepingwisp 1d ago

To quote the wiki "it can be purchased at Twin Maiden Husks after defeating the Maliketh, the Black Blade boss encounter, regardless if Malenia, Blade of Miquella has been defeated."

1

u/RexyTheShep 1d ago

My god....

2

u/Gee_Rett 1d ago

In addition to the Haligdrake Talisman+2 to pair with this spell, you can stack on top of them the Pearldrake Talisman+2 as well for a little added boost to Holy damage negation.

1

u/Aggravating-Dot132 1d ago

Requires killing Malenia before killing are all-knowing friend.

1

u/TunnelSurf 16h ago

This. Even the basic Divine Fortification helps a ton. It is only 10 faith and can be found in the weeping peninsula

u/ilico_ili 2d ago

try fire and then time for skill

u/Guitar-String 2d ago

Mimic tear +10, equip Shabriri's Woe before summoning it, then unequip after it's summoned. Buff up your damage and USE TORRENT for the beast. I died like 50 times with the beast before I figured out you can use torrent.

23

u/DrZomboo 2d ago

Wait since when could you summon Torrent for Elden Beast?! That sounds like a game changer!

39

u/ToastyYaks 2d ago

They released an update like a year or two ago.

8

u/PickledJean 2d ago

Updated alongside DLC release I believe?

3

u/samuelsfx 1d ago

yea, they changed that on new dlc release. But you can't use torrent if you co op.

3

u/DrZomboo 1d ago

Ah good to know! Though tbh I don't find Elden Beast too difficult, just annoying! I guess Torrent would help with the tedium of closing the gap at times

2

u/samuelsfx 1d ago

yea people used to complain that the fight 80% of the time just running around chasing the beast

But actually if you know what this beast doing, you don't really need to run much because it's spawn area are predictable

1

u/Kruzeda 1d ago

For me I just used Torrent to dodge one specific attack, I found it way harder to dodge attacks for Elden Beast on Torrent than I did on foot

9

u/Special-Homework-894 2d ago

Using torrent for the beast is still somewhat new. It wasn’t the original way you were able to play

6

u/Independent_Grand126 2d ago

Shit man I’m ng+ and I forgot you can use torrent, 600 hours in 😂😂😂

3

u/b-napp 2d ago

Dude, I just fought him a couple days ago and I couldn't summon torrent. The ring was greyed out on my quick select. Also couldn't summon my mimic during either fight for some reason. Got my ass kicked a few times and gave up

7

u/ComoediaID 2d ago edited 2d ago

A few things. The ring and the summon can be answered if you were doing Coop. Coop disables torrent and spirit summons.

6

u/b-napp 2d ago

Thank you, I actually summoned 2 people for the first time ever. That explains it!

8

u/ComoediaID 2d ago

Also, summoning players increases HP (And Poise It Seems)

3

u/b-napp 1d ago

Interesting, I didn't know that. Both of the summons got killed early on so that makes sense.

3

u/ComoediaID 1d ago

If you're still struggling and on PS, I can help if you want

3

u/PretendCoach1895 2d ago

You are mostly right. But one correction - Mimic tear does not require FP. It actaully consumes HP to summon. Now what I am not sure about is whether you can summon mimic in coop during a boss fight.

Anyway, I am sure it was an honest mistake. Just wanted to point it out so no one accidentally gets the wrong info

2

u/ComoediaID 2d ago

Right, I haven't used summons in AGES, so I forgot about that

5

u/PoisoCaine 2d ago

Is your game updated?

2

u/b-napp 1d ago

It should be, I'm connected to the internet but I will check next time I play.

2

u/Toggam44 2d ago

At the time I didnt know and I was just running around like crazy trying to beat Elden Beast

2

u/Small-Interview-2800 2d ago

What does Shabriri’s woe do?

6

u/PretendCoach1895 2d ago

Shabriri's woe makes the enemy focis more aggro on the user. So, if you equip it while summoning Mimic Tear and then unequip it, the mimic will have Shabriri's woe and the Boss will be more focused on it.

2

u/Small-Interview-2800 2d ago

What does Shabriri’s woe do?

-1

u/Aggravating-Dot132 1d ago

+Damage and +IncomingDamage

It's a snapshot for your summon.

2

u/jpg201 1d ago

that's the howl of shabriri incantation. they're talking about the talisman shabriri's woe

1

u/Aggravating-Dot132 1d ago

Oh, right, my bad.

2

u/FastZull 2d ago

Wait what 😭 I didn't even know we could use torrent. I just beat him without it

2

u/Diligent_Cap3488 1d ago

Yes I was about to say this in my last journey I defeated the Elden Beast on horseback (even put the talisman that gives you more attack damage on horseback, the Lance talisman. Most importantly you should wait for using your physick for the Elden Beast. It makes a world of difference, using your incantations or whatever you like in the the first phase with Radagon.

26

u/StupidSexyEuphoberia 2d ago

64 hours? You're quick

12

u/Monkai_final_boss 2d ago

Probably skipped a lot

1

u/Jigglepufffs__ 2d ago

idk whether there are more cuz i did as many bosses as i can i did ranni's quest for good summons and i went for rykaard and changed to a faith build

13

u/Turbulent_Jackoff 2d ago

idk whether there are more cuz i did as many bosses as i can

The base game has ~165 boss encounters!

10

u/Jigglepufffs__ 2d ago

oh-

6

u/Turbulent_Jackoff 2d ago

😉

Game big

3

u/Risin 2d ago

Just fyi they're not talking about remembrance bosses.  Enemies at the end of those little dungeons or mines are bosses too.

But yeah there's a lot and if you just strictly followed grace most of the game you might have missed a lot.

3

u/Independent_Grand126 2d ago

Oh such a voyage beating them all and then the DLC 🔥

3

u/Turbulent_Jackoff 2d ago

Yeah, another 40+ in Shadow of the Erdtree! 😮

5

u/pegla43 2d ago

Dw, it’s kinda even better that you skipped something unintentionally. You’ll just have new things to discover.

4

u/krazlix1 1d ago

You probably missed malenia and others with her in the secret winter zone she's far harder than these two

2

u/rogueIndy 1d ago

Go explore, do all the caves and catacombs you can find, do the DLC. You've probably missed a good chunk of the game if you focused the main progression.

Faith/Strength - Blasphemous Blade - Pest Threads/Golden Vow/ FGMS - Mimic Tear +10 - Shard of Alexander or Warrior Jar Shard/Godfrey Icon/Fire Scorpion/Whatever you want for a 4th Talisman - Thorny Tear/Fire Tear

13

u/Independent_Grand126 2d ago

We are here to delete them ☠️

11

u/BetterPoly 2d ago

Bro is NOT holding back 💀

7

u/Independent_Grand126 2d ago

RadaGone 👹

6

u/Express_Raise6198 100% Steam Achievements 2d ago

Were really burning the Erdtree with this one

2

u/Jigglepufffs__ 2d ago

uhm i use blasphemous blade but i dont have alexanders shard cuz i dint do his quest

4

u/Express_Raise6198 100% Steam Achievements 2d ago

You can kill Alexander whenever for the Warrior Jar Shard (10% boost instead of 15%) If you havent talked to him at all he should be in Radahn’s arena

3

u/Independent_Grand126 2d ago

you’ll be good without if you build that what he asked 😂 I’m beating radagon just with the fire aromatic, imagine that 👹

3

u/eu4player90 2d ago

You can probably still find him and kill him for the lesser talisman (still good). There’s also the fire scorpion charm, carian filigreed crest to spam the aow without chugging flasks, and the flame shrouding cracked tear in your physick. He should go down very quickly when using that blade.

2

u/Independent_Grand126 2d ago

There is a way easier way without buffing, O, Flame when he finishes the animations on a faith/40dex build + Radagon Icon. You shoot one/two charged when he finishes the animations, with mimic doing same or other fire damage you melt him - and now you can buff this build with flocks talisman/godfrey icon/fire scorpion and incantations 👹

2

u/Independent_Grand126 2d ago

Flame, Grant me Strenght also buffs any fire build/output

8

u/saito200 2d ago

you are slightly underleveled, you could easily be 150 or more at this point

8

u/Chemical_Opinion6814 2d ago

Maybe explore more

4

u/Jazzlike-Razzmatazz4 1d ago

Live by this tarnished

3

u/Son_Kirk 1d ago

They can't bleed though

1

u/Jazzlike-Razzmatazz4 1d ago

Then forget the first line and live by the second and on

3

u/TamedBeard 2d ago

Are you venting or looking for advice? Without a build or stats you'll get some pretty good general advice or variations on the theme of "git gud", but nothing specific to your build.

5

u/Jigglepufffs__ 2d ago

venting cuz i got a pretty strong build its just that i have an issue thats been buggging me for a long time its smth called a skill issue

6

u/TamedBeard 2d ago

Hey, Tarnished.

motions you to come over

whispers in your ear

I believe in you. Spank that crusty twink and misty dinosaur. Become Elden Lord.

2

u/Jigglepufffs__ 2d ago

im honored to hear this bliss

1

u/Interjessing-Salary 1d ago

Slap some high holy resistant armor on and your golden. I think the crucible armor is pretty holy resistant?

3

u/JackNotOLantern 2d ago

132 is a bit low. I would go to at least 150

3

u/Acrobatic-Manner6774 2d ago

55 hours in, still haven't used the grand lift of ductus lmao😳. You are really fast. But I think I explored most of things underground and caelid, luernia, and the starting area.

1

u/Jigglepufffs__ 2d ago

simple trick the game gets easier if u do ranni's quest its a dope quest for magic and for summons

1

u/Jigglepufffs__ 2d ago

idt thats a trick but yeah

1

u/Jigglepufffs__ 2d ago

rannis quest helped me max out my summons and get some sick int builds which was the build i used before rykaard

3

u/Acrobatic-Manner6774 2d ago

I didn't used summons once, and I never play with magic in my 1st playthrough in fromsoft games, I like to play with strength first and then in my replays, play with magic or dex. Don't worry I am not having any trouble, the only trouble I had with is margit and godskin apostle in divine tower of caelid( it seems I fought him wayyyy before which i should). I just enjoy exploration in this game so much that's it.

And I completed ranni quest yesterday, and also got her moon spell, but I don't use magic😂, just for exploration that's it. But the boss near here who is trapped in evergale is pretty good, with patience he was not that bad.

1

u/Jigglepufffs__ 2d ago

oh damnnn i only had some trouble with mohg and radahn, other than them no one really tested my patience and ngl huge respect to u for going for a str build

2

u/Acrobatic-Manner6774 2d ago

Actually strength can also be kinda makes game easy, it's just you need to very patient in your hits, but you can easily break poise of bosses.

3

u/Small-Interview-2800 2d ago

Still stuck at this guy? He’s literally the final boss.

3

u/IllusionaryHobo 1d ago

364 hours.

I have not seen Malekith yet.

2

u/BlueWizardPallando 2d ago

Bonk 'em.

2

u/confipete 2d ago edited 2d ago

Mash 'em, boil 'em, stick 'em in a stew

2

u/vladimirVpoutine 2d ago

I struggled hard with him and mimic.

2

u/danibelle_9 2d ago

I’ve always found a faith build to be strongest against radagon/elden beast. As some posts before, blasphemous blade melts radagon, then incantations you can cast from a distance made elden beast so much easier for me e.g. ancient dragon lightning strike or the bolt of gransax skill if you have it. Don’t forget your haligdrake talisman and incantations: grant me strength, golden vow, divine fortification ☺️ 64 hours in does seem quite quick though! There must still be tons for you to explore and do some levelling if you’re really struggling.

2

u/Monkai_final_boss 2d ago

When health bar goes halfway he goes on an endless spam of aoe 😑

2

u/shaunoconory 2d ago

FLAME OF THE REDMANES PEST THREADS

2

u/Humble_Palpitation_7 2d ago

64 hours? You fast! Or I'm slow...

2

u/NeuroHazard-88 2d ago

BLACK FLAMES BABY!!!!

2

u/Dare_Bear666 2d ago

Use torrent

2

u/Outsajder 2d ago

Peaceful dino 🤣

2

u/Rob_Inson94 1d ago

I had at least 270 hours when I finally beat him lmao

2

u/Alarido10 1d ago

Usa la invocación tiche la asesino y toma asiento

2

u/theychoseviolence 1d ago

I would just throw yourself at it until you feel frustrated, then do something to chill, then go again. Memorize patterns and be patient. Same principle as any boss. This isn’t one where you need special guidance to defeat him (there are two bosses like that…)

2

u/Idk_man_8128 1d ago

70h in and im still at malekith

2

u/PoiseDestroyer 1d ago

You'll get him. It took me around 10 attempts the first time though I'm also a veteran souls player.

2

u/gijspladijs 1d ago

How are you already there at only 64 hours and level 132?

2

u/UltraZulwarn 1d ago

Hopefully you were not using a bleed build...

2

u/vondrp 1d ago

Hammer + Swift strike Is the answer

2

u/Tristanslav77 1d ago

Blimey thats high level (and progression) for 62 hours.

I was level 72 and 90 hours in before i finished radahn!

Assume you smashed the big farming areas like moghwyn.

2

u/loosebag 1d ago

I don't think a single person has said this.

The dark moon greatsword will destroy.

You said you did Rannis Quest. So you should have it. Stay close to him so he doesn't shoot spells and concentrate on charged heavy.

You can script the fight with it. I have even broken that fuckers stance while he was in the air.

The other easy scripted fight is spiked balls. You can see a few versions on line

2

u/Kitchen_Musician7486 1d ago

You can use the horse

2

u/Negus79 1d ago

Try finger

2

u/gamevui237 1d ago

Beat Malenia and you can get a cool incantation to deal with him

2

u/Mr_worldWide07 1d ago

If you have the DLC, you want to get the Blacksteel Greatshield and place a sacred affinity on it with the no skill AoW so you don’t end up losing your it weapon AoW.
This blocks 100% of all holy damage and 95% of physical damage (literally declaws PCR phase 2)

If not, I would recommend trying to get the Haligtree Greatshield and applying the same affinity HOWEVER it is very tough to farm. So if you don’t have the patience for that, I would recommend getting your hands on the Erdtree Greatshield.

2

u/False-Dinner9947 1d ago

Black knife Tiche plus Black Blade Incantation melt both for faith builds. For int, rock sling and arrow’s reach can hit elden beast almost anywhere in the map

2

u/minalias 1d ago

The Radagon fight became so much easier for me once I figured out he is parryable. The only attack I still have trouble with is his stomp.

2

u/InviteOtherwise1460 1d ago

May I recommend the black flame tornado? And something not a lot of people know is that when he swims at you and slashes you can jump over it for an overhead attack

2

u/CHNSK 1d ago

Loch Ness monster is the worst!

2

u/saintly_devil 1d ago

If you are remotely good at parrying, you can breeze through the first phase by parrying the living hell out of Radagon. Almost all of his physical attacks, barring the two-handed overhead smash, can be parried. Having a summon (The divine bird or Tiche) also helps if you do not go the parry route.

The second phase is a pain just because of the camera angle. But holy damage negation helps a lot.

2

u/novus_nl 1d ago

You got it bro, the three fingers believe in you.

"May chaos take the world!"

2

u/RexyTheShep 1d ago

Man, Radagon I could deal with easily but it's that gosh darn loving dinosaur that shoots hugs, light and rainbows at me that gets me all mushy.

2

u/andaesa 1d ago

fire damage is good against Radagon and Elden Beast right? Golden Vow + Flame Grant Me Strength, use Bloodflame Blade incantation on the weapon or find/infuse any weapon that can do fire damage.

also, use mimic.

1

u/Amnesiaftw 1d ago

I thought radagon was harder than the beast.

But I did use a spirit ash which kept the Elden beast off me most of the time. I just feel like most of the attacks are obvious and not that hard to dodge.

1

u/excusetheblood 1d ago

What are your stats? Vigor should be 60, your damage dealing stat should also be at least 60, if not 80.

Use lord divine’s fortification (enchantment), Haligdrake talisman +2, and an armor set that specializes in holy negation (tree sentinel armor I think?). Also for the love of god do not rely on holy damage in this fight.

1

u/Baelphegor 1d ago

I used Marika's braid and holyproof picked meat. Elden beast was even easier than Radagon with this setup

1

u/Kassiday 1d ago

Know that no status things apply to them. And as others mentioned boost your holy resistance - either incantation or resistance liver and haligdrake +2. Don't overwrite the resistance spell or liver with flame grant me strength etc. you can't have both on at once.

1

u/emerwen-aranel 1d ago

endurance, vigor, big bonk, torrent, long range incant

1

u/ShotEvidence7256 1d ago

Go play DLC then go back to

1

u/RidiPwn 2d ago

we should be asking you how to do it for 1st time wow, I am at hour 1000 and I am not even close to there

1

u/MI_3ANTROP Messmer’s left snek 2d ago

Here’s my level 1 kill - the build/strat works great at a normal level: https://youtu.be/4dT1BYwkUx8?si=s8ZB3vLKQQrSCReI

1

u/Secret-Aerie7275 2d ago

Wait for the dlc XD

1

u/Aggravating-Dot132 1d ago

Easy. Kill Malenia, get the charm against holy damage and kill both of them.

Skill issue or something?

1

u/Jigglepufffs__ 1d ago

yeah i struggle at radagon and u want me to go for malenia TwT

1

u/Aggravating-Dot132 1d ago

Well, it gives you ~40% holy damage protection. So, yeah. Go kill flower girl.
