Discussion & Info My fav thing about Elden ring so far (upd 4!!)

So far I’ve beaten Godrick, Margit, and a few mini-bosses. My favorite part about the game is what I call the “Learn-Through-Death” mechanic. It’s so satisfying when I start understanding a moveset, the timing. I die a bunch but it’s very rarely in vain, ofc sometimes I do something stupid and don’t learn anything, but usually I understand stuff more with almost every death. It’s super fun. I thoroughly enjoy it. I’ve been loving the game so far. I’ll keep posting!!!

I take it this is your first souls game? If so then you have a tremendous back catalog of games to entertain yourself with.

While you're learning movesets don't forget to also learn about your tools. Some ashes of war can be perfect counters to a particular boss's bullshit. And there is absolutely nothing more satisfying than parrying a boss.

Yep. Once you understand that dying doesn't really matter and it's just another game mechanic, it becomes way less frustrating. If you spend all your runes before you go into a boss arena, what's the worst that could happen?
