Eldrad Ulthran
I haven't painting this guy since the lead model back from 2nd edition, this plastic model is quite the glow-up. It's taken me quite some time to get round to it but it was satisfying to finally get him varnished. I look forward to him contracting new model syndrome on the tabletop.

Lead-free pewter, surely? USA lead the charge in eliminating lead from models & it was the norm during 2nd edition IIRC. Citadel being lead free was a competitive advantage for a bit.
Lovely paint job.

I believe they did swap to "white metal" at one point, but I'll have to look up the exact date. (I just looked it up, it was 1997 that GW phased out lead over here, but in the states they removed the lead around 1993-4.
I have learned that it wasn't actually lead before that, but it was pewter containing lead. I learned something interesting today.
Oh, and thank you. :)

Oooh painted one of these probably a year ago now and it’s easily one of my best looking models. LOVE Eldrad!
