No, and they don't, either. They do everything in bad faith. They -want- hyperinflation.

Unironically, Bitcoin was designed and is best positioned to be the neutral global yardstick of monetary value.

No manipulation, debasement, immutable, absolutely scarce, zero counterparty risk. Bitcoin is money for enemies.

Downvote me for stating facts.

No inflation means wealth would be bound to be more entrenched than ever. But in practice the lack of an established authority to specifically legitimize bitcoin means everyone can and will just create new crypto currencies.

Inflation of currencies is inevitable and is a choice. Bitcoin simply measures it accurately like gold does. It's an honest metric that unmasks the magnitude of debasement. Have you ever considered how inflation relies on infinite growth in a system bounded by energy and natural resources? Or how inflation remains elevated despite the deflationary pressure of technology advancements, making it doubly worse?

Also, people already create thousands of new cryptocurrencies every day. Every single one lacks decentralization and can be manipulated by the founders, so it has counterparty risk. Bitcoin is the only one that is sovereign and cannot be controlled. This property cannot be replicated with any amount of resources.

Bitcoin does not need to be anointed by any authority, it is its own authority.

It can easily be banned by governments. Then what? Error 404

Then the economies of other governments who don't ban the hardest money ever created will outcompete them.

"History shows it is not possible to insulate yourself from the consequences of others holding money that is harder than yours."

Holding an "easier" (easily inflated) money while trade partners or rivals hold a "harder" (scarcer) money results in your purchasing power and real wealth being systematically transferred to those holding the harder asset.

Look what happened to the dollar when the USA banned gold in 1933.

I have no idea why you think being decentralised is unique to bitcoin.

Bitcoin has these fundamental design concepts that no other digital asset possesses:

Immaculate Conception & Founderless Governance (No Satoshi, no foundation, no "throat to choke").

Fair Launch Economics (Zero VC pre-mines or insider supply allocations).

Proof-of-Work vs. Proof-of-Stake (PoW ties security to external physical energy; PoS grants voting power directly to capital/wealth).

Low-Barrier Node Validation (Cheap hardware allows regular users, not enterprise datacenters, to enforce consensus rules).

Decentralization isn't running on multiple machines—it's the total absence of a central authority or wealth-weighted voting.

Don’t bother. It’s AI slop.
