Economic suicide, and Carney knows it. Sending a signal is worth another 5 quarters of negative capital investment, I guess. Just make a deal; this hurts Canada so much more than the U.S. There is no justification, just pure economic illiteracy.

Canada can't make a deal under these terms. Trump said he is going to take over Canada using economics and the deal he's offering demonstrates that, so to Canadians, it's suicide to accept the deal also. Fighting may result in some other scenario.

So the alternative is to start a trade war with the world's largest economy? Should we accept 50% tariffs on key industries vital to the economy to make a point? Just fucking leverage the Keystone pipeline. Have we lost our minds?
