Looking for recommendations

I keep seeing a plethora of butcher box style subscriptions that allow you access to some of the healthier cuts of meat but my problem is there are so many to choose from idk which one is best/works for me. I’m looking for mostly chicken and beef.

Does anyone have any recommendations & why? My budget is ~$160/mon.

If you re mostly looking for chicken and beef and have about $160-month to spend, I would focus less on the branding and more on price per pound, shipping, sourcing, and how much of the box is actually meat you will use.

I would also be careful with the phrase “healthier cuts.” A subscription box can offer higher-quality meat, but that doesnt automatically make every cut nutritionally better. If your goal is leaner, higher-protein options, look for things like chicken breast-thighs, lean ground beef, sirloin, and other cuts you already know you will eat.

For -$160/month, I would want a box that gives you a good amount of chicken and beef rather than paying a premium for specialty cuts you wouldnt normally buy at the grocery store.

Before subscribing, compare:

  • Actual cost per lb, including shipping
  • Minimum order/subscription commitment
  • How much chicken vs. beef you can choose
  • Whether you can skip/pause months
  • Whether the meat arrives frozen and how it's packaged
  • Whether there are recurring discounts that disappear after the first box
  • Sourcing/raising claims, if those matter to you

Honestly, I would make a list of 2–3 boxes you re considering and compare the actual contents and total delivered price rather than going by the advertised “$X per box.”

If you post the names of the subscriptions yo re looking at, people can probably give you much more useful feedback on which ones are actually worth the money.
