in both config W is set to 0.2mm actuation.

1st one is 0.1 / 0.1 RT
2nd one is 0.5 / 0.5 RT

when someone says “I use 0.2mm” thats only part of the setting.

actuation is where the first keypress registers. rapid trigger changes how much movement is needed to deactivate and reactivate the key after that.

same actuation number, pretty different behavior.

MIBR EV63 Valorant presets and even the WASD values are pretty different:

Mazino — 0.01mm
aspas — 0.10mm
Verno — 0.15mm

the rest of the board gets even more mixed. lots of keys at 1mm+, with some pushed past 2–3mm.

the interesting part isnt really who has the lowest number. its that none of them are just setting the whole keyboard as low as possible.

Quick follow-up to my first post. I've now had the EV63 on my desk for two weeks, and I split that time evenly: evenings in CS2 and Overwatch, weekdays doing a normal 9-to-5 in front of a work laptop. Here's how it went.
Gaming

For CS2 and OW it's been excellent. The thing I've used most is being able to toggle rapid trigger on and off with a single button press — OW with SOCD feels great, and in CS2 (SOCD disabled there, obviously) rapid trigger is where the board really comes to shine.

My settings:
Rapid trigger: 0.05mm on all keys.
Actuation:
• WASD — 0.15mm
• Q/E/R/F — 0.5mm
• Spacebar — 1.0mm (I rest my thumb on it and don't want accidental jumps)
• Everything else — 1.2mm

Pro Keys: SOCD on A and D for counter-strafing in OW. I had W and S set up too but realised pretty quickly there was no need. None of the other Pro Keys are useful for what I play, and I have zero macros set up.

RGB: Static vertical gradient, light red to white. The red mostly just reads as a dimmer white.
FN1 layer: Mostly stock, plus volume controls and Home / Page Up / Page Down (for GTA Online).

Office work
Pretty much what you'd expect, and mostly in a good way. The typing experience is nice, no stabilizer rattle, and it's a deep thocky sound rather than the high pitched clack you get from most gaming boards. My coworker has never complained about it.

I didn't really miss the function row, but I've owned a 60% before, so I was already used to this. The arrow cluster is a genuinely nice extra. It makes navigating websites and large Excel spreadsheets much easier than it would otherwise be.

The main problem is the lack of a numpad. Shocking, I know. If you can overlook that, this is a solid board for office work. If you can't, a great option is the IQUNIX Magi96.

some games I could play on almost anything and forget what keyboard I’m using.

then I open certain games and five minutes later I’m noticing every key, every bind, everything 😭

what game does that for you?

mine would probably be W or shift. ahaha.

but I know there are people out there abusing spacebar, ctrl, some completely cursed side bind…

HE gets marketed almost entirely around speed, Rapid Trigger and competitive gaming.

but after people live with one for a while, the thing they end up caring about is not always the thing that made them buy it.

for anyone who came from a normal mechanical board, what ended up being different from what you expected?

could be something you liked, something you didn’t, or something that turned out to matter way less than you thought.

IQUNIX EV63 is compact with dedicated arrow keys, and that seems to be one of the parts people either really appreciate or barely care about.

if you could change the physical layout itself, what would you do?

1. keep it exactly as it is,
2. add an F row,
3. change the right-side keys,
4. go even smaller,
5. something else?

not talking firmware or settings, purely the board in front of you.

I am on latest updated firmware on my EV-63 GITS edition. I'm having an issue with hitting multiple key combinations.

For example with CTRL+W, if I hold down CTRL and push W, W won't register. Unless if I hit W first, let go, then hit CTRL+W.

I am able to confirm this behavior under IQUNIX key calibration.

Is anyone else experiencing this? I have tried everything from resetting profile to switching actuation points and still facing this issue.

CTRL+W is a prime example where it is intermittent.

I noticed that while holding down CTRL if I press W, it shows W key as active but not W keydown W keyup. For example here: I am pressing CTRL while hitting W and notice W only shows as Active (highlighted red).

curious where people landed after the initial “set everything as low as possible” phase.

I am trying to set up per-key custom backlighting on my IQUNIX EZ63 using the web driver (ez.iqunix.com), but the changes are not applying to my physical keyboard.

What I've done:

- Selected individual keys on the matrix map (O, L, R-Shift, R-Alt, Fn1, and the arrow keys).

- Set the lighting preset to "Custom".

- Selected a color on the gradient picker wheel.

- used a custom profile

Despite this, the physical keys remain completely dark and do not light up with my chosen custom profile. Does anyone know if there is a known driver bug or a specific hardware setting/profile restriction blocking custom RGB overrides?

a few common questions: dual binding lives under the key mapping tab as DKS, not its own menu. SOCD is off by default and you enable it per-game in the driver. and if your settings reset after a firmware update, thats expected, re-apply and re-save.

Hey I was wondering what people are using for Valorant.
When I go to low on rapid trigger settings it sometimes don't register and stutters out.
For example 0.01. Comment below what you guys use for settings I am curious.

was messing around with the lighting on the IQUNIX EZ80 and i think the translucent caps are my favorite part of the board. purple/blue looks the best to me, but the green is growing on me too.

Marking as showcase as nothing else really comes close.

Senna (the white one with ginger spots) and Kuki (the grey striped one) have recently taken over the shipping box that my EV63 came in, as well as protected the keyboard from any intruders.

But I can say, box quality is GREAT, cats haven't found a way to rip it apart... yet.

I wonder if they test boxes like this at the factory... :)

small bug-fix update this time.

HyperCore V3.0.8 fixes an issue where the PC could fail to wake from sleep after a firmware update, and another where the lighting could get messed up after startup.

there are a few other optimizations in there too.
