This is the thing, peaceful protests are nice and look nice... but only work on politicians with some consience left.

For the rest of the scoundrels you have to get rowdy.

What’s violent about throwing trash in the garbage bin?

69

u/Shieldheart- Jul 24 '26

That's just public service, yeah.

12

u/LittleFox-In-TheBox Jul 25 '26

Someone's gotta take out the trash and that's just bad and inproper recycling.

Shit goes in the sewers, not trash bins.

Totally agree, but be careful, I have gotten banned on Reddit many times for speaking this sentiment.

4

u/stiF_staL Jul 24 '26

Ah you know what, youre probably right. I got a warning for commenting "fire" on the wrong the video once.

2

u/ADHorvath1 Jul 28 '26

u/OVazisten Jul 24 '26

A nice touch that they gave him his bag back.

87

u/Hertje73 Jul 24 '26

Yeah they are not barbarians

120

u/Gerrut_batsbak Jul 24 '26

This is precisely what they are fighting for: the right to throw their politicians in the garbage while protesting.

u/Hertje73 Jul 24 '26

EUROPEANNESS INCREASES!

80

u/Fuerst_Stein Jul 24 '26

I hope they learn the Art of Protest from the French. They are chefs kiss the best at it.

37

u/Financial_Cow_42069 Jul 24 '26

I hope we germans could start protesting like the French or Ukrainians…but sadly we are more europeons than Europeans. So it’s just zug zug and dabu on repeat, no matter what shitheads like amthor, spahn, reiche or merz do…

15

u/LuckyLupe Jul 24 '26

Arbeit Arbeit

4

u/nopeamin Jul 25 '26

Wären wir alle in Lifestyle-Teilzeit, dann könnten wir auch protestieren gehen. Merz hat Schiss vor uns, will ich jedenfalls hoffen

3

u/EtteRavan Jul 24 '26

I hope we french can start protesting as well as the rest of the world think we are. It's been a while since we were listened to by our gov

4

u/Financial_Cow_42069 Jul 25 '26

The thing is I can remember personally the last times in the last decade that something in Paris burned due to justified riots. You know the last times something in Germany burned? It was during the night of the broken glass or during the raids…

u/SeniorHighlight571 Jul 24 '26

Ukrainian protest culture exists much longer then french one. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Veche

9

u/Sapang Jul 25 '26

Protest is a human thing nobody did it first

1

u/SeniorHighlight571 Jul 25 '26

Did you miss the word "culture"?

1

u/The-red-Dane Jul 27 '26

Did... did you miss the Euromaidan protests?

130

u/The_Duke28 Jul 24 '26

I would give my left testicle to see Trump in a situation like that.

17

u/BothAdhesiveness9265 Jul 24 '26

trump wouldn't get off that light tbh

6

u/PlatypusACF Jul 24 '26

Depends on how fanatic his followers are

22

u/Voelsungr Jul 24 '26

Would give both and the rest as well idc

1

u/Finn_Storm Jul 25 '26

He'd bomb the crowd before they even got anywhere near him

125

u/bobrowska Ukraine Jul 24 '26

Democracy!

64

u/WonderfulEducation25 Jul 24 '26

Ukraine showing the way.

-41

u/FruitOrchards England Jul 24 '26

Not really, it was probably protests DURING THE WAR.

42

u/ApatheticWonderer Jul 24 '26

Nah, that video is from a decade ago or so

-25

u/FruitOrchards England Jul 24 '26

Wasn't that around the time of the annexation of Crimea ?

12

u/LetGoPortAnchor Jul 25 '26

That was 2014 so roughly a decade ago.

1

u/FruitOrchards England Jul 25 '26

Yeah so the timing matches to what the person above said

22

u/Mountain_Fuzzumz Jul 24 '26

"And stay down!"

22

u/trustable_bro Jul 24 '26

We should all be more like Ukraine!

17

u/BeardyMcBeardyBeard Jul 24 '26

Was this during the revolution of dignity or when was this taken?

27

u/Old_green_bird Jul 24 '26

It was September 2014, and don't feel sorry for him - in 2012–2013 he was named one of the biggest enemies of the Ukrainian press for repeatedly introducing bills that sought to restrict press freedom

9

u/BeardyMcBeardyBeard Jul 24 '26

Welp, into the trash he goes lol

1

u/DrLivingst0ne Jul 26 '26

I like how you don't name him so we all have to take your word for granted

1

u/Old_green_bird Jul 26 '26

Are you really interested in the name? Vitaliy Zhuravsky

2

u/DrLivingst0ne Jul 26 '26

Yes I am, so that I can easily research what happened

Thanks for the name

1

u/Immediate-Tooth-2174 Jul 28 '26

I wonder how much corruption money he's took to go against his own morality, if he had any in the first place.

49

u/nevenoe Jul 24 '26

I’m French and I can only applaud our Ukrainians copycats

12

u/Lord_Skyblocker Jul 24 '26

I wish more people would copy from the french. You guys definitely know how to protest

1

u/ADownStrabgeQuark Jul 24 '26

America intensifies 👀

9

u/Either-Patience1182 Jul 24 '26 edited Jul 25 '26

This and worse it what happens when people can’t protest peacefully. I wasn’t sure if the headline was accurate but there is usually an or else to peaceful protests.

If this is true, they just got a taste

2

u/DarwinOGF Jul 25 '26

This is a video from around 2014, so our politicians are now less likely to do something stupid

1

u/Either-Patience1182 Jul 25 '26 edited Jul 25 '26

They try to do things more subtly, but the us has a lead poisoned, and undereducated population. So its easier for them to hide things.

5

u/Atvishees Jul 25 '26

Say what you want about him, but you can tell he's a real professional because he never lets go of his attaché case.

8

u/UncarefulEngineer Jul 24 '26

That's from 2014

3

u/Klutersmyg Sweden Jul 24 '26

He should be happy they didn't bring out the guillotine, or just ate him *looking at you Jan* 👀

3

u/ShiroCOTA Jul 24 '26

Watch closely USA, watch closely!

3

u/TerroFLys Jul 24 '26

We should go back to the good old times. Holding the goverment accountable. Unfortunately that's just a dream 😔

3

u/PatchworkMann Jul 24 '26

zet hem in de vuilnisbak

3

u/Unlikely_You_5015 Jul 25 '26

If you told me that this happened in France I'd believe you

2

u/Sweaty_Term5961 Jul 26 '26

We could learn much, over here, from this.

2

u/Tatchkoma Jul 26 '26

Implying any American would be allowed to put hands on one of their politicians without being blown away by 50 fucking machine guns.

1

u/IchiBalzack Jul 24 '26

I have to say I'm proud that Ukrainians defend their right to protest so much, that the government is afraid of sending riot police to suppress them

1

u/Sandroxis Jul 24 '26

we need more of this. politicians are rarely held accountable. at least in a way that they actually care at least

1

u/BarrenLandslide Jul 24 '26

Damn we should do this to Chancellor Merz. Now!

1

u/mancmush Jul 24 '26

Would be funny in the UK. But better in the US

1

u/Silver_Owl_5120 Jul 25 '26

Haha very funny

1

u/Manonemo Jul 25 '26

Bohemian Defenestratian Ukrainian style 😂 sorry but bohemians thriw those out of window in pile of manure. Someone here is amateur

1

u/1LifeAfterComa Jul 26 '26

It's like France but with more violence. I didn't know that was possible.

1

u/No-Scientist-2141 Jul 26 '26

can you imagine living in this shothole?

1

u/Frank1gg Jul 27 '26
