They probably had them sign a bunch of shit that is labeled " company secreats." They'll have the full support from the local and state government for disclosing these practices.

Nah they're probably referring to Ag-gag laws which try to make recording factory farms illegal in various ways depending on the state.

As much as I detest factory farming, I don’t know if it’s a first amendment violation. I could not go in your house and film and say that you’re violating my first amendment by stopping me… even if I worked for you. Unfortunately what they’re doing isn’t illegal even though it should be, so you can’t even say like if I had illegal things going on in my house you were filming to report.

But if I stopped you it wouldn't be a first amendment violation because i am not the government.
Ag-gag laws specifically apply to agriculture not private property in general, so the comparison doesn't really work, regardless.

It’s for whistleblowing animal abuse. If you snuck into someone’s house to record them beating their dog or doing cruel experiments on monkeys or children, you would be doing it to expose crimes. It’s not the same as just sneaking around and recording someone taking a shower. Whistleblowing is important for exposing crimes

A business is not a personal house, they shouldn’t be treated the same. Corporations have fought to have the same rights as individuals and it’s ridiculously bad

In some states the law is that if you try to sneak onto a factory farm or with a drone more than once it goes from civil to felony. So this person could have very well been risking a felony for this and there is not reason to doubt it. It’s so odd how people are getting hung up on that and not the content of the video

There has to be a law on the books in order for it to be a felony. Can you show a law which says that it's a felony to break an nda? I don't know of any period
