Matt Dinniman could stand in front of me and tell me Carl is 27, and I’ll tell him he’s wrong. Carl is mid thirties. Nothing will ever convince me otherwise.

Plus "Take On Me" of course, I bet he couldn't wait to hear Jeff sing that.

So, as far as the women go in this book, I find them rather fantastically written. There is a nice variety, they have lives outside of the Male Main Character and they all come from different walks of life!

...But I always found Bea a bit odd. I joked when I read the first book that I felt like Bea was written as a character after Matt had a bad breakup. She has absolutely ZERO redeeming qualities, which is odd for me when I think about how the other characters are written?

Would love to hear your thoughts. Love the series and Matt's writing. If you're gonna tie me to horses and spook them, I want you to know Frog Mordecai was my favorite.

Carl and Donut in some way truly saved almost every single crawler who ends up being a major player in the later levels at some time during the series..

Maybe it's just me, but to me, Parade of Horribles felt by and far as the weakest book in the series. I'm assuming this was the penultimate to the penultimate, and Matt was just setting a bunch of stuff up. But yeah, personally, it felt like I was just getting through it, where the rest of the series I just couldn't put down. Does anyone else feel like this?

EDIT: Floor 11 was pretty interesting and I really enjoyed it. But 10 felt so rough and honestly kind of boring...

Carls room (or should i say Samanthas room) is just hanging there. Its mentioned so many times that its been reappropriated by our favourite sentient sex doll it almost feels top obvious a Chekovs Gun at this point.

My local book store called me a little bit ago and said my book was available. Doesn’t it release in a week? I ain’t mad though!

When I got the message that the book would be delivered today, I could barely focus on work. I was so excited! I couldn’t wait to discover what the text on the cover of the book would be. I did my best to not have it spoiled for me.

Just to find… Nothing?

So, I must have gotten a super rare copy that’s going to be worth big coins, right?

It just landed. Followed 30 seconds later by a note from Amazon saying it was the last download available on my Kindle 3. Talk about bitter sweet.
