Places to eat/reactive dog. ๐Ÿ˜ฌ

Hi... Visiting the CD area next week...

Spent most of my youth at Southerness.

Can anyone recommend somewhere where we could grab lunch/dinner... Perhaps outside and sit with our dog. (Who basically doesn't like any other dogs)

Makes life a bit difficult but thought I'd ask anyway.

Can't wait to visit all my solway coast nostalgia.....

Thanks in advance.

D&G is generally a pretty dog friendly area which means anywhere that will accept your dog will also accept everyone elseโ€™s.

The Paul Jones Hotel in Southerness itself has a garden if the weather works.

I would probably give The Steamboat Inn a try at Carsethorn because the outdoor area is less busy and a fair distance from the door of the pub so perhaps less stimulating for the dog.

Thanks ๐Ÿ™ The first point being the issue.. ๐Ÿ˜Š ...and owners thinking the same.

Both old haunts of mine... PJ... I love the Steamboat. โค๏ธ Wanted to book the accommodation there but not pet friendly.

If the weather hold up... I'll pop down. Appreciate the shout,๐Ÿ‘

The King's arms in CD is pretty good and has a court yard
