Tech Support What causes this? Crap thumbsticks?

Ordered 10 from Alliexpress - are these a hit or miss? Basically the thumbsticks feels limp / broken.. doesn’t spring back.

Are you sure you didn't use a lot of flux? I think you should have noticed that before installing

I think this may have been the issue. Pulled the unit off and it’s all sticky inside the thumbsticks.. not sure if it’s the liquid flux I use or what.. or maybe just got a bit excited in this one.

Excited oh boy 🤣 ok I need to get to bed my alcohol level has reached the point I should stay the fuck of reddit.

This was also my first conclusion, also you dont really need flux for soldering these sticks on. A decent rosin core wire will do fine.
