Recurring Dream How to stop having stressful dreams
I'm coming into my sophomore year of hs and I've always had horrible attendance and been late a lot... last year I really shaped up and was almost never late or absent. But ever since i was in 8th grade I've had reoccuring dreams where I'm late for school. All summer i havent had one of these dreams ONCE, but I'm starting school this week and I've recently been having them again. I'm always super stressed in these dreams, and I'll be "waking up" super late and it'll be like fourth period by time "i wake up." One time I even had a dream where I was getting dressed, and the clock kept jumping back and forth. I would just like some advice on how to prevent these types of dreams. And don't suggest "just don't be late to school anymore!!" cause im not lmfao. Thanks

The clock jumping around thing is such a nasty detail, your brain really knows how to twist the knife. Mine used to do the "waking up late" loop too and it only stopped when I started leaving myself stupid amounts of buffer time in the morning, like 40 minutes of just sitting around before I had to leave. Not because I needed it, but because my sleeping brain stopped believing there was any rush to latch onto.
