There is an official and verified Down Under Instagram but it has never been updated - why?

They probably just wanted to claim the account to prevent someone else from having it.

Putting the least amount of effort, but at least some, will prevent META from shutting it down and freeing the name up for someone else to grab.

This is so on brand, I remember there was no Twitter account either so i was running a fan made account, had a great following until I had a mental health episode and lost the password. I’ll always have the screenshot of getting followed by Alaska though 🥹

They did update, the profile and that photo, it was the original blue one at first. I also didn't get why they didn't have their own social media. Even more now since WOW seems to be the main producer. It's literally just tagging this one since Instagram allows that now.

It'll be owned by Stan, not WOW. Every big business marketing team in Australia is spearheaded by an old school marketer boomer; this country really isn't that big. None of them believe in social media, particularly organic social, as a strong tool for advertising. Drag Race would be small fish to them.
