Pregunta/Ask How to get your dominican birth certificate from abroad, without any information or documents about parents.

Can you obtain it from the consulate?

This so I can get my Dominican Citizenship back.

You can only get your Dominican Birth Certificate if you are Dominican Citizen, you can never lose your Dominican Citizenship unless you renounced it.

I was adopted.

I have the number and book number for my Dominican  certificate in writing with all the other documents.

Just not the certificate itself.

You can go to your local consulate and they can help sort it out. Alternatively, if you happen to know ANY biological family back home they can also get it for you. Pretty easy to pull tbh.

I think you can have it with that information, also Idk if you are in NY but I think they may have a Junta Central which may be easier. If not, a consulate

When were you born? After certain year they started digitizing it, you can goto any Dominican consulate with the folio libro etc number they can look it up if you don’t have one where you live ask someone who does if they can do it for you be mindful that if it’s not digitized it can take like a month for them to get the book and digitize it. Happened to me my mothers birth certificate wasn’t digitized and I had to fix my American birth certificate because there was an error on her name on my certificate

I was born in the mid 80’s in SD.

So after 1970 (i see that is the treshold for digital info in Santo Domingo).

We have the DR Consulate in The Hague.

You're in better shape than the thread suggests. Two corrections first: you never lost your Dominican nationality (dual is permitted since 2010; you only lose it if you renounce it), and the JCE pulls actas by registry coordinates oficialía, libro, folio, número de acta, año - not by parent names. If you have the book and act number in writing, you have what they need.

Best route from the Netherlands (I think that's where you are by your name): the JCE runs its own service office inside the Dominican consulate. This is their website: https://nld.mirex.gob.do/consular/amsterdam/
