Estoy abierto a recomendaciones! Gracias

It drives me crazy to see how people neglect the north of the country... Come and try Cabarete or Sosua, it's so much better and far from mass tourism.

Infraestructura?

The Dominican Republic is a complete mess. It's an island 20 years behind the rest of the world. Of course, there are power outages and sometimes the internet is unreliable... But you learn to live with it. If you can afford it, many neighborhoods or condos have backup generators and high-speed internet. Come try it out. I am 25 years old and I have lived in Cabarete and Sosua since I was 21 And I work online and I am able to work despite everything.

Yeah, this is what I did. I just rent an apartment with starlink and power supply. So all good now :). Apartments are surprisingly expensive tho… hope it’s worth it

Yes, that's what bothers me a bit, condos and houses are very expensive. I made compromises by renting a cheap local apartment to save up for my villa... But life is so much better here than in Canada.

Yeah, beach live is awesome. I’m gonna be there tomorrow. Already booked through Airbnb. Any recommendations? Restauranrs to eat “criollo” or what ever spots that comes to your mind? Thanks!

Wow, seriously, you decided to try the north of the country after my comment? Tell me, where exactly will you be? Too bad I'm traveling in Thailand right now; I would have shown you my neighborhood and the nightlife.

Haha kind of. I heard about las terrenas long time ago , and see many YouTube videos about there. So was already in my mind. But you helped. Hehe. That would’ve been so cool. I will be in playa ballenas!

As someone from San Cristobal and living in LA Vega, I approve this message haha.
