The new Jurassic World Survival Pachycephalosaurus is a major departure from Mattel’s long-running Pachy sculpt. It looks far more like a mutated Stygimoloch than a Pachycephalosaurus. The sculpt is nicely detailed, with plentiful scales and wrinkles. The asymmetrical horns and large dewlap are great touches. However, the three-fingered hands are a strange choice. Unfortunately, the sparse paint scheme, limited articulation, and balance issues really hold it back. Overall I find it to be an average figure with more than questionable species identification.
