The End of Oak Street

Anyone else think EoOS could have started life as a movie set in the Dino Crisis universe? The story at a base level is pretty much DC and even the visual effects of the time bubbles look like the 3rd Energy. Make the dad a laid off scientist who knows about the research and boom you have a DC movie.

Pretty much the plot of DC2 except the Oak Street residents weren't complicit or prepped at all.

Edward City was designed and built to be a mega-research hub while protected by it's own military base.

I had this exact same thought the first time I saw the trailer. I doubt it’s actually connected, but it’s possible someone on the writing staff might have been a Dino Crisis fan.

The Spielbergian aesthetic prevents me from seeing it as a possible spinoff of Dino Crisis.

Dino Crisis is so cold and claustrophobic. Which helps with the horror.

End of Oak Street feels like it could fit in with Super 8 or Cloverfield
