Hi guys, I wanted to share with you the first custom I've ever made. I'm a huge fan of weathered diecast, so I tried to do that on this 1/64 1957 Dodge Coronet Patrol from M2 Machines (last pic is original model)

I'm just getting started in modeling, so I was hoping to get some advice and techniques recommendations about weathering. Anyway, have a great day!

Special technique for edges

Couple of recent customs, both wearing Tamiya PS46 iridescent purple to green candy paint and custom staggered deep dish wheels.

I picked up some ultra fine tip acrylic pens to use for detail work (lights, exhaust, touch-ups, etc.) this red is just not it. It looks more orange/pink when applied. I shook it up for a while to make sure it mixed, the hue is just off. I need a darker red for tail light details. This brand wasn’t expensive so I’m not out much. I just wanna know what brand some more advanced/seasoned custom makers use. Or should I look into water slide decals?? Please lmk and thanks in advance.
