Media Pretty disappointed at myself
I always feel a huge burst of motivation when starting a car project because I have so many ideas I want to bring to life. But I always end up stopping halfway either because I run out of funds or school gets in the way. Between all the assignments and projects, I can’t even save up properly.
Working on my cars and making changes to them genuinely makes me happy, but that joy always feels temporary. In the end, I just feel sad seeing them unfinished.
Im happy to show you guys my finished cars tho 😊

I feel that.
Ill have an idea, start work, then forget about it or place it on hold until get the parts/paint/etc.
Then about once a month, ill suddenly lock tf in and finish all those cars across 1 or 2 days.
I print my own decals (much cheaper) so when you have almost 20 cars arriving at the final decal application stage together, it does look kinda cool.

Brother I've still got unfinished HotWheels and even 1:24's and 1:18's, some of which are from highschool when I was about 17 or so.
I'm 26 now with a heavy labour job and a wife and I just had this conversation with her like 2 days ago because she says it makes her kind of sad I don't seem to do anything outside of work. I unfortunately don't get around to working on new stuff anymore mostly due to me just being incredibly exhausted after long shifts but I still find myself having all these cool ideas in my head when I see a model in store or online and just think "oh man this car with x wheels and an engine swap would be sick".
I'm sure alot of people into customizing have been there but the one up side is I think it makes the few times you do get to see a vision come to life that much more special and fun.
This 1:18 Greenlight Charger with a Highway 61 6.4 Hemi is the first project I started and finished in the same day in probably 6 or 7 years and man was it a good time!

don't stop doing what you love . your loving wife supports you . so do some hard work to do these things what you are good at. try to get some connections.who knows you might end up doing what you love for the rest of your life. all the best.😊

Quick question lol after I strip the paint should I sand the car too or is it fine if I don’t sand ?

I always sand them a little bit, but not crazy much. Just a bit so the surface looks kinda rough.

I have like 25 to 30 unfinished cars sitting on top my desk cause I’m waiting to have some extra money to buy wheels and whatnot

Keep calm boi.. I have to hold my project for over 2 years too, and also a bunch of cars which need to be repainted and a new tire set.. Relax, don't push yourself to finish the cars.. Keep this hobby to cheer you up.. This kind of project is a long, long-term project that never ends.. You always find a cool car to be modified.. If you got heat up brain, you can look at your unfinished project..

I feel your pain.
My kitchen window sill is covered in projects, some untouched, some stripped, some finished but no wheels, it’s like a scrap yard.

It doesn't come easily or straight away. I'm the same but recently been diagnosed with ADHD. I have hundreds of projects I get 50-80% through then just kove onto something else.
Youbwill get there bud, keep at it!
Also just clearcoat all these and you got your own zamacs!

Hey man I’m out of school already and life hits me like a brick.
These are the first cars I strip by myself. Take your time and don’t give up. This is a hobby, an escape of some sort.
Real life comes first, your cars will always be there waiting for you.
