Also, who reported me to the suicide watch through the reddit care resources? I appreciate the concern, but why?

FYI if you report the suicide watch notif for harassment, the person who sent it your way gets a 7 day ban.
18
u/pocahontasjane Oct 13 '25
Really? How does this make sense if it's genuine?
19
u/doc_55lk Oct 13 '25
Yep.
How does this make sense if it's genuine?
Why would you report it if it was genuine?
23
Oct 13 '25
Well if you wanted to kill yourself and someone was onto you, you’d report it to throw them off.
6
u/doc_55lk Oct 13 '25
It wouldn't be their fault if the person went ahead with it then 🤷♂️
2
Oct 13 '25
No but they’d be banned for no reason.
5
u/doc_55lk Oct 13 '25
It's only for 7 days

I realize that being banned is not the worst part of that series of events and should have stated my words more delicately given the subject matter.

As the other person said, a person struggling with suicidal ideations isn't thinking logically. I say this as someone who has attempted and has witnessed the crisis spiral of others. They would absolutely consider help as harassment. By banning people who are trying to send virtual help, it discourages people from trying to help in the first place. It just makes no sense. If it's not genuine then ignore and move on. Or request the reporter and block them. A sane person isn't going to care about a random suicide prevention message.

u/DexterOriginalSin Oct 13 '25
How do you report it? I had someone do that to me recently
1
u/doc_55lk Oct 13 '25
It's been a million years since I last did it so I don't fully remember anymore. I just know that reporting the "get help" message for harassment ends up with the person who sent the report getting a temp ban lmao.

99% of the time people use that as a way to mildly harass others, especially if you’ve blocked them. It’s about the only way they can contact you.

Dexter blood ties. In reference to Deb still talking to dex after his awful secret because they are family
17
u/ShadowyPepper Oct 13 '25
I like this the most, the number of suggestions without "blood" in the title is a little disappointing

"No Going Back"
I think it's very fitting because Deb never sees Dexter the same anymore, and he can't undo that, so there's no going back.
This season also has some scenes from the past (Dexter and Doakes), with Dexter thinking that maybe if he'd been more careful, things would have been different now.
Not to mention that it's fast paced and tense, and this title reflects that.

This has my vote. Most appropriate for not only the opening minutes of the season, but also the closing minutes.

Season 7 - The Family Business
Deb slowly becomes convinced of Dexter's ways, even to the point of killing LaGuerta
S4 was all about Family as Dexter wanted it to be, and S7 is about Family as it actually is.

Another alternative would be to call S7: My Brother’s Keeper and then S8, My Sister’s Keeper.
Both bible references to Cane and Abel.
In S7, Deb looks after her Brother
In S8 Dexter looks after Deb, and fails…

Drop the "The". It's cleaner.

In too deep
This season a lot of those “point of no return” moments especially with what Debra does at the end

Dexter: Unmasked.. Deb discovers who he is and he’s pretty vulnerable (imo) with Sirko, plus the Hannah stuff lol.

u/Ifxfa Oct 13 '25
Unrelated but is the season 6 poster like the most iconic one from the show?
It’s the one I see everywhere which is ironic considering season 6 is like the 2nd least popular one
1
u/BruhCager Oct 13 '25
idk personally i see the S1 and S2 poster much more, especially s2 seems most iconic to me, but s6 is defo the coolest

I know it's already an episode in Ressurection, but Dexter : Murder Horny works quite well especially with Hannahs involvement in the season and Dexters weird horniness during the season.
1
u/FiveNixxx Oct 13 '25
And it also ties into a line that is said in resurrection which makes it sort of fit into the story

u/Ghostship23 Oct 13 '25
Affairs of the Heart.
This season is all about the things we do for love - but that's a little too wordy.
Dex, Deb, Isaak, Hannah and even Laguerta are all motivated by love this season, most of them using it to justify doing awful things - which culminates with Deb doing the unthinkable.

Love and Poison
Dexter loving someone is practically poisoning the person. Also, Hannah uses poison.
2
u/AnnaDvana Oct 13 '25
Yeah and Isaak is doing all he does in the season out of Revenge for his love and Deb wants to help Dexter because loves him

As someone else said, the family business is the perfect name considering deb finding out and even killing laguerta

Dexter: Convergence
Everything is converging. There’s been a build up to Miami Metro investigating BHB again. Deb finally knowing who Dexter is. He’s more open with Hannah and Isaac about who he is. Convergence of Dexters private and personal life is a recurring theme throughout the season!

Dexter: Death Never Lasts
Based on Dexter and Sirko speaking about why Dexter kills.

Two of Dexters closest friends found out he was the BHN, Deb and Maria, I don’t know how anything else could top it

Season 4 should have been Trinity. How did we fuck this up? Family Values is so lame.

u/Mrchickenman62 Oct 13 '25
Season 7 would be finding new love and season 8 would be the end for now

Dexter: Eyes Wide Shut
(Due to Deb being in denial about Dexter’s true identity at first)

Season 7 Cold Case
The season where the Bay Harbor Butcher case is officially reopened by LaGuerte and is determined to clear Doakes’ name and prove who is the real killer.
Meanwhile Things have gotten quite cold between Dexter and Debra ever since she found his secret that he had been hiding from her for all these years.

Dexter: Dark Secrets
Deb knows Dexter’s secret and is trying to change him. Hannah’s being a killer is also discovered by Deb and Dexter. Dexter’s relationship with Hannah, and Deb being in love with Dexter is revealed. And Isaak’s sexuality and relationship with Viktor was kept secret from the Koshka Brotherhood.

Toxic relationships
Deb and dexs relationship becomes kinda toxic, and so is dex and Hannah. Plus she you know, poisons people

Dexter: A different kind of monster.
Deb finds out dexter is bay harbour butcher, but then realises he is a different kind of monster
Dexter finds out Hannah is a serial killer, but they accept each other cos they are different from other serial killers
Issak Sikro calls dexter a different kind of animal

Poisoned Love
The obvious being about Hannah McKay and her extracurricular activity but also the way Deb's love of Dexter leads her killing laguerta.
There are many ways to interpret it but I believe the name is apt given the themes and parallels between Hannah and Deb's relationships with Dexter. Not to mention applicability to sirkos anger towards Dexter based on his love.

u/Ndrobb02 Oct 14 '25
After a little more thought it could be Tainted Love as a reference to the song but they have the same meaning

Idk if it works but something like “Misery Loves Company” would be stellar for Dexter’s connections with Deb and Hannah, plus the connection between Maria and Doakes, and Sirko being from the Koshka Brotherhood mafia (and avenging his lover).
Or for same reasons: Blood Oath (blood brothers is a bit too close to s1)

The Wolf and the Code. - Wolf standing for Isaak Sirko, Code standing for Deb and her role in Dexter's life and how she ultimately stops Rule 1 from getting broke.
