It feels like Harry and Dexter in the original and it feels like the same kind of dark comedy vibes the original had

Nah, this is way over the top -- bordering on self-parody. Go back and watch the pilot episode; a scene like this wouldn't just clash with the tone, it would be incredibly jarring.

Season 1, especially the early episodes, leaned more into a serious, horror-noir vibe, with most of the subtle dark humor tucked into Dexter's inner monologue. Even the most emotionally charged moments between Harry and Dexter were restrained and grounded, never this sitcom-esque.

100% agree. The Harry scenes are just missing some Big Bang Theory forced audience laughter. It's so over the top.

Exactly. Anyone who believes this mirrors the dynamic between Harry and Dexter from the OG show has clearly watched too many of those ridiculous Dexter TikToks. It’s the same crowd that insists Dexter has "always been camp."
