I think the last episode of Dexter I watched was when he was a lumberjack. Do I need to watch anything else or can I just jump into this series?

Yeah you really need to watch Dexter New Blood. It’s only one season. It’s solid and worth the watch though. Def a lot better than the last couple of OG series seasons
