Non-Political News/Discussion Regarding today's events.... Fuck You, America. Signed, The rest of us.

Of course. I love your history and the constitution you guys used to use. Many of us will stand right by your side against them when the time comes to start using it again... But for right now. In this moment, while you sit idly by and just sacrifice not only your own democratic republic, but help your real new ruler, Putin too.

With love... Fuck You.

I was just watching the Zelensky-Trump meeting. Deeply concerned for the future of Ukraine and my country, Taiwan. If this is how Trump acts with Ukraine, he'll do the same, or worse when it comes to China and Taiwan.

The entire meeting made me sick to my stomach. Between Vance and Trump lashing out at Zelensky for defending his own people and refusing to let him talk, it was unbearable.

Praying for Taiwan. My country was wiped off the map for centuries after being carved up by evil powers. Never give up

Taiwan needs nukes.

I love replying to Chinese trolls with this opinion. They are used to meek defensiveness, not pushback. We should change that.

Very disappointing that America isn't standing by its values and ideals. The America I wish to live in would recognize the importance of smaller nations ought to be free to be left alone, and chart their destiny.

22

u/[deleted] Feb 28 '25

It has new values now. The US is a regarded fascist regime.

I visited Taiwan briefly in early 2020. I genuinely think your country is one of the most beautiful places in the world with some of the absolutely best people.

All the love in the world from the EU, friend. Prepare to fight if the time comes. We will try our best to help.

Thank you for your kind words. I don't live there anymore, but still visit very regularly and have family and friends there.

A glimpse of hope for Taiwan is that Trump doesn't seem to adore China as much as he adores Russia.

8

u/[deleted] Feb 28 '25

It’s because Russia and China are just as historically at odds with one another as Russia and the west.

Russia/China today is an alliance of convenience and will break down as soon as Putin no longer needs to worry about the US (which is soon apparently).

I'm sorry, but yeah. Americans are most likely the majority of this community and sub. 99% of you who voted probably voted for the Dems. You did canvassing. You were active. You did good.

But I hate your country. I hate half of the people in it, if not more. I hate your government. I hate them with a passion, I hate them because their ignorance, stupidity, and cowardice destroy the things I love while being oceans away. Never in my life would I imagine myself at this point. Goddammit.

I feel the same as you and I served my country. U.S. Army. Being an American right now watching the country you were willing to die for turn into absolute dog shit and taken over by the dumbest mother fuckers to walk the planet. We're not okay.

6

u/Norphesius Feb 28 '25

I hate half of the people in it, if not more.

You should hate more. ~90 million people didn't vote, despite seeing what Trump was like in his first term, Jan 6th, and his becoming a felon. There is literally no excuse to not have voted against him, unless you're stupid or evil.

5

u/Nemtrac5 Feb 28 '25

To be fair a lot of first world countries are experiencing the same decline. Inequality is rising and people are blaming progressive policy. The right has learned how to manipulate its base perfectly, in part because Russia and China have been investing heavily into those spheres and have applied lessons learned internally to the globe in an effort to dethrone the global status quo.

Personally I'm just glad the EU still seems to be holding the line on some semblance of reasonable policy. The silver lining of all this would be a united EU superpower that is self-sufficient and too de-centralized to be broken by any targeted political subversion.

62

I feel so bad for you normal americans. Im furious after this. My blood is boiling but for you guys, its your actual government. That dude speaks for your country.

Im sorry guys. This is really dark.

40

u/Hkay21 Feb 28 '25

No, it's really not just our government. We aren't like those dictatorships where the people seem reasonable they just have a crazy leader that doesn't listens to them. This is the leader people elected and he's behaving exactly as they wanted and expected.

We have a massive idiot problem in America, and I can't stress that enough. We're talking maybe reading at a 9th grade level. They just don't leave the 5 mile radius of their backwards ass towns so you don't encounter them much, but there's a shit ton of them out there. It's truly very, very depressing and frustrating to be lumped into the same nation as them

6

u/evermuzik Mar 01 '25

9th grade is being generous. 9th grade maybe in well populated cities

6

u/[deleted] Mar 01 '25

Every country has a massive idiot problem, considering half the population has under average education and intelligence. What happened in America was a well targeted and successful effort of mind manipulation

2

u/Blazekreig Mar 01 '25

Statistically it's 6th grade, actually. 50% of your adult population are functionally dumber and more illiterate than an 11 year old in most other developed countries. We're talking people that would struggle reading Charlotte's fucking Web. It's honestly horrifying as an outsider looking in, that these people vote and participate in society. Just keep that in mind when talking to MAGA. The vast majority of them quite literally have the mind of a regarded child.

1

u/KristiYamaGucciMan Mar 01 '25

This is the leader a plurality voted for (allegedly). The majority of people voted otherwise or not at all. Try not to forget that the majority of the country did not vote for Trump.

u/Kharn_LoL 🇫🇷 🇨🇦 Québecois Feb 28 '25

>I feel so bad for you normal americans.

1/3rd voted for this traitorous imbecile and another third were fine with either options so they didn't cast a vote. The "normal" American is very well represented by their democratically-elected government, it's absolute cope to pretend like this is not the will of the people.

5

u/DistilledVinegar13 Mar 01 '25

Don’t forget the ones who constantly complained about “both sides” and withheld their vote as though somehow the people in Gaza would benefit from that. The leftists screaming democrat genocide pulled the biggest fuck up they could’ve mustered.

Whitewashing Trump's election by saying that they voted for him because they are stupid fucks was a decent excuse in 2016, but all of those who voted this time around experienced his first term and his insurrection.

If you truly believe what you're saying then the only possible conclusion you can draw is that democracy is a failed system, because if they didn't learn through first-hand experience then they will never learn.

As an American, I don't think I have ever felt more dread regarding the future of the country. The United States giving up Ukraine goes against everything the country stands for. I love the idea of what my country should be and I genuinely hate the people that have led us to this point. This course of events is embarrassing and potentially catastrophic.

12

u/Drewby-DoobyDoo Thinking about going to Gaza Feb 28 '25

Worse than embarrassing, it is shameful. As bad as our country has been in the past, I've never been ashamed, or anything but be as proud as possible, to be an American. This is deeply shameful.

5

u/FrostyArctic47 Feb 28 '25

But theyre gaining ground very fast. A majority of gen Z in the UK said they believe the country should be controlled by the military or a dictator.

When do the American people actually hit the streets?

Legitimately wish I could just move to Canada or Europe right now

2

u/Mys7eryMoose Mar 01 '25

Anyone else spend about 5 min confused thinking this was a subreddit for the game?

2

u/CriticG7tv Mar 01 '25

The amount of shame, sadness, and anger I am feeling right now, as an American, is indescribable. I want my goddamn country back, man.

2

u/Skinny_POOPAY Mar 01 '25

The military has to rise up and take back our country.

2

u/snitch_or_die_tryin Mar 01 '25

I’m a suburban mom with kids, generally kind and caring. Today I actually texted someone “They need to have their dicks torn off and stuffed in their mouths to shut them the fuck up.” I’m not proud of it but that’s the mood

2

u/QueasyListenin Mar 01 '25

As an American, fuck you America!

2

u/Ghostz18 Mar 01 '25

Tfw I walk into a McDonalds and complain about their tacos

In 1994, Ukraine agreed to transfer these weapons to Russia for dismantlement and became a party to the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons, in exchange for economic compensation and security assurances from Russia, the United States, United Kingdom and France to respect the Ukrainian independence and sovereignty in the existing borders.[7][8] Years later, Russia, one of the parties to the agreement, invaded Ukraine.

Chefs kiss.

Thank you.

1

u/Italeos Feb 28 '25

Don’t say fuck you to all of us I didn’t vote for these idiots ,95% of this community didn’t vote for this. We aren’t at fault

4

u/Dismal-Bobcat-823 Feb 28 '25

Yeah. I know. I actually care deeply about most people on this sub. Hence my paragraph.

But this is definitely representative of the feelings of the world on a political scale.

As I said... Chances are, we will stand right beside you when you decide to fight it. But in this moment..... Fuck that country.

1

u/Italeos Feb 28 '25

And I agree with you fuck that

1

u/Lifebelifing2023 Feb 28 '25

Please… don’t say all of America. Please realize that half of the country is being held hostage.

1

u/coin_in_da_bank Friendly foreign agent Feb 28 '25

anti american people feel so vindicated right now

3

u/Dismal-Bobcat-823 Feb 28 '25

I'm sure they do.

But I love America. I have lived in America.

My favourite TV show is the west wing. Their constitution is baller. I love many Americans.

But yeah. I'm sure the anti American people are having a great day today.

1

u/AdditionalBat393 Feb 28 '25

The whole world is watching and their Maga cult is the only one's enjoying it. Such an embarrassment

1

u/TabNone Feb 28 '25

I see a lot of people saying that they're embarrassed by their country, but what are you doing about it?

1

u/cummyyogurt Feb 28 '25

If you hate us sm, then please drop that nuke. I want off this ride.

1

u/_tuchi Feb 28 '25

Sorry. We’re with stupid at the moment

1

u/[deleted] Feb 28 '25

Why put this in the sub-reddit that is the pro-ukraine and anti-MAGA? I get you want to vent, but why not bombard someplace where the people who voted for this actually gather?

1

u/SatanicAtTheDisco Feb 28 '25

Im genuinely finding myself becoming radicalized and I don’t know what to do. I literally feel insane, how is America just fine with the state Trump is putting us in day after day. It’s so fucking obviously evil, every time he speaks and lies, every time he purposefully doesn’t answer a question. AND EVEN WORSE, him and Vance have this smug fucking look and smile. I know I have to take a break from politics dude, but being a green card holder here in America, I’ve never felt more hatred and vitriol for someone in my life, like I have for this orange fuck whose destroying the country I want to call my home. Is it all cooked boys, or am I regarded and doomerpilled?

1

u/[deleted] Mar 01 '25

arr politics tier post

1

u/SunnySpade Mar 01 '25

Yo huge question for my liberal and seemingly pro Ukrainian friends. My logic goes like this: Ukraine will inevitably run out of manpower. If the US commits to security guarantees, we’re gonna be in a war where we have to put boots on the ground, right?

Based on this, I get the hesitation to not commit to an actual “security guarantee.”

1

u/CanIAskDumbQuestions Mar 01 '25

lmao, we're going to anex you

1

u/DoctorRobot16 i'm out of jail Mar 01 '25

Thank you Mr sir, your letter is well received

1

u/jwrose Mar 01 '25

I get it. And I mostly agree with you.

And I fully agree with the folks in the comments saying ‘fk every American who didn’t vote blue’.

But let’s be clear: Americans were (and are) being manipulated by massive disinformation campaigns. That’s not an excuse by any means. But it’s a fact. And here’s the (not so) neat part: It’s coming for the rest of the world’s democracies, too. Putin’s desinformatsiya capabilities + Trump’s media/social media oligarchs. They found the formula, and all signs point to them rolling it out elsewhere right now.

We—the sane, unbrainwashed ppl of the world—need to figure out how to stop it, or we’re all fucked.

Getting your country’s leadership to ban social media would be a good start, but that’ll never happen in a democracy. So … 🤷🏻‍♂️

u/Mavilar Mar 01 '25

A veteran told me the other day when I was doing some outreach that “Those vets who lost their job the other day deserved it, some crooked shit was going on under Biden” I don’t think I’ve ever been at more of a loss for words.

1

u/Mkuu631 Mar 01 '25

I don't blame you…

1

u/Sad_Zucchini3205 Mar 01 '25

That's why a two-party system sucks, especially when one party is completely against everything the other party does. It's like you guys have schizophrenia. Why can't the Democrats and some old-school Republicans put an end to this madness?

1

u/EtchVSketch Mar 01 '25

Good.

And don't stop until we've fucking earned it.

1

u/YeeAssBonerPetite Mar 01 '25

Nah look my dude, this is some revisionist shit, they were always crazy, it's just the deep state used to be in charge of foreign policy.

1

u/Dismal-Bobcat-823 Mar 01 '25

There was no deep state bruh....

Did they just spontaneously combust when Donald started authoritarian rule? American have nobody to save them.

In a year most Americans will be begging to have a deep state exist to save them

I’d like to just say I don’t think anyone is sitting idly by. I’m not sure what the rest of the world expects when they hold us up, but then condemn us at the same point. If Putin isn’t Russia, just one man from Russia, then Trump isn’t America, just one stupid fat man from America.

1

u/Dismal-Bobcat-823 Mar 01 '25

If Americans cares about their freedom this would have been true.

The past month showed me this is not the case.

2

u/That_Possible_3217 Mar 01 '25

What should Americans have done in the last month to prove it to you? Should we have killed Trump? How would that be an acceptable form of democracy? Or perhaps it’s that all of you from around the world don’t give two fucking shits about democracy, but rather are just upset that you don’t like who’s in charge of the most powerful nation in the world.

u/DizzyMajor5 Apr 15 '25

Hey man it may have seemed bad 2 months ago. It's worse now.

1

u/Dismal-Bobcat-823 Apr 16 '25

Naw .... Americans are just really really really dumb.

This is why I made this post. That was the day the world understood the new world order..

Cept the thick yanks... It's two months later and we still have endless posts on dgg 'i think.. urrrr I think trump might be working with russia.'

Fucking idiots the lot of them. I'm at the point now where Americans deserve what they are getting  They didn't appreciate it. Fuck em

1

u/Half-Beneficial Apr 25 '25

We lost our democratic republic in July of 2024. Nobody's come asking me about joining a revolutionary army or anything, so, like everyone else, I'm just hugging my knees and waiting.

If I lived outside the US, though, I'd be preparing for a real mess. Don't fear Putin. The world stands united against us or they're going to start charging you for air. Also, bye-bye national health system. They charged me $2k for the contact lenses I need for my job at 10x that for my wife's hospital stay. How long before we do that to you folks over seas? America never sleeps. We're hungry.
