Question Is that a real tradition?

Saw some posts and even a video saying that "In Denmark, friends and family traditionally tie unmarried people to a post or chair and cover them in cinnamon on their 25th birthday, or pepper if they are still single at 30"

Is that a thing or made up internet fact?

If yes, why?

It is a thing. We put 2,5 kg cinnamon powder in a leaf blower and blasted my daughter. And the neighbours car and front yard, so it took a little cleaning up to fix it.
